Radiator grill required for my 1940 Standard flying 8

Hi friends,

This is my Standard Flying 8 tourer and I am desperately looking for an radiator shell / grill.
Please let me know if any one has a spare.

I got the hub caps from UK. the car is under restoration.

Please help me to bring my car in good original condition.

Thanks in advance

girish,
You can contact the Standard Motor Club Home Page for help. BUT they will let you have spares ONLY if your a member of said club.
The process of registering as a member is a bit tedious too. So if you're not in a hurry to get it you could go ahead.

Meanwhile you can also have your car featured in an article for the club. Do you have more pics./info on the car?

Dear Girish,
I think this car is from Adyar,Chennai. My friend had bought another car-a 1929 triumph from the same person. He also has a morris minor. Just one advice, the color is far from original. Reg the grille, this can easily be made. But the Union Jack at the top of the grille can be sourced from abroad.
Try Vanguardtriumph in Australia

I tried a lot to source one, but no luck......
At least if some one has or know about same type of car, we can make an replica......

Thanks
Girish

I did joined the club and was member for 2 years, asked many people, but no luck....
If any one has same kind of car, we could make an replica of the grill.

Feature on Prewar Flying 8 Tourers
mine was factory standard 8.

Cheers

Friends,

I will be thankful to you if any one helps me to build one replica of the grill. I will bear all the expenses.
OR if making this replica possible, I will visit you personally.
Thanks

Dear Girish,
Orange was never an original shade. Ivory & Black were original shades

Girish,

What a rare car you've got dude.

Would love to see it come out in flying colors.

Original colors are much better on such cars, pls loose that color which is on now.
