Once owned by the Royal Family of the Kotah District, State of Rajasthan in India. "His highness of Kotah" being the registered owner. With its rich history and the vehicle being right hand drive makes this beautiful Cadillac an absolute collectible! 1941 Cadillac 62, Original Matching numbers and full Indian registration with the vehicle. The 62 Series took many of the designs from the previous 75 Series but had many improvements including a shorter wheelbase which improved handling and driveability. Under the hood is the Monoblock V8 346 Block (5.7ltr) with the 3 Speed Manual. |
This is a post on the lighter side. Seated on the front passenger seat is my grandfather, Maharaja Hari Singh in one of his favourite cars. On the driver seat is Maharaja Umaid Singh ji of Jodhpur (grandfather of Maharaja Gaj Singhji). And seated behind him is his younger brother Ajit Singh ji. I am unable to identify the other two passengers in this beautiful car, details of which follow. Interestingly, if you zoom into the number plate, you can vaguely see 'KASHMIR'! Tempo G1200- 1937 |
