re: My Morris Minor 1930 OHC Tourer

The Pre war minor network has its annual rally every year in June in UK,
At the recently concluded rally , I was awarded the very first " Brian Maeers" trophy , named after a Morris minor enthusiast for life and great friend of the marquee.

My Morris Minor 1930 OHC Tourer-image.jpg

The trophy is for the " Minor enthusiast of the year" , I was chosen also because of finding/spotting around 20 previously unknown minor survivors in the sub continent ,previously un known to the club.

Unfortunately I could not be present for the rally there as I am in US right now.
Cheers

Kartik

A Morris Minor from Mumbai.
What could possibly be the shadow on the right?

Cheers harit

Many colonial bungalows, especially in hill stations Mahabaleshwar and Lonavala had solid flower pots placed at heights in the property. It could be one of those. Attached is a reference image in Mahabaleshwar.

Thank you so much for the picture, but I would request you to email me the same without the neon, please. The shadow to the right looks like a Pillar with a light dome, possible from the gate to the driveway.

I have very limited knowledge about the registration numbers and am confused with the " X" series.

Here is a screen capture of my picture with the Brian Maeers Jug and the little morris, which can be now seen on prewarminor.com

The X series should correspond to Bombay in the 1920s.

Now here is another picture of a X series Morris Minor , photographed at the gate of Srirangapatna fort, Mysore. So was this a Bombay car in Mysore ?

In all likelihood, yes. It is unlikely that Mysore followed the X series, more excellent examples on the subject can be found here

This is awesome , Karl . Though I had received an image of the front cover earlier, thanks to Harit uncle. This is the first time I am seeing the rest of it.

I am going to send this to the PWMN.

Cheers

Especially for Kartik, a recent reprint of an original ad dating to 1930.

Far from it. I think its just poor lighting and a mobile camera that makes it look aged
