Some updates,

The carb which i did some DIY, is a huge success presently

The car will be started tomorrow, and will be taken for a test drive. Hope Aaal izz Well.....!

The present workshop and the mechanic is of no good to continue further, so once its started and running fine, i am going to shift the car to a different place to finish the pending work.

1) Fix the original Door handles
2) Complete the folding convertible roof
3) Upholstery
4) Fine Tuning

One year and one month. phew....

This was a longest restoration and an incomplete one, had not found someone to work on the rooflining (Convertible top) and the upholstery. The car owner did all the market research and got one honest and an experienced guy to work.

So work on the car has re-started again.

We are now working on the wooden frames for the convertible roof.

Hi all,

The work on the rooflining is going on, other projects delayed this work.

But the car is running fine and resting right now.

Planning to wrap it up in the coming weeks.

OH God.....!

What a relief. Finally got the car out of that wretched Devils workshop.

Over the time, its started to rust on the underbody

Treating that now.

The upholstery guys came in today and completed the base work for the canvas top.

Will update soon.

This project will be done in the next 15 days time.

Saar, you lend a new meaning to the term "MULTITASKING". Intel ought to take some lessons from you And I'm glad that the car is out of the wretched garage. Best of luck with the resto

Thanks Yadavji....

Well, the few things that i intend to do on the morris right now.

1) Put in the ORIGINAL door handles
2) Get rid of all that rusting metal.
3) Tinkering the uneven surfaces on the body. There are a few.
4) Give it a good coat of Paint, a lighter shade than what is now.
5) New wiring
6) Mechanically get it running like a daily use car.

Will certainly keep everyone updated, Somehow having too many on my plate to handle, just setting my schedules right at this moment.

Hi! Pawan

just cam across the meters and will like to suggest if you are taking all the

pains to restore close to original, the metres should be inside the meter

cover. Also let me know if you have procured the door handles and the

locking system, as it must be very difficult to source them.

take care

I have very less documentational proof of the Morris Convertible's

Would be glad if someone provided me with some Manuals or actual pics of a 1950 Morris Convertible......!

I do have the Original Handles, Its getting fitted right now.

About the Meter, i need to know how it was Originally.

Getting spares for this car is becoming a tough job

Nice going pavan! BTW, did they do all that burning on the door to fit the original handle?

BTW2: Just like I carry out my current resto projects in a garage full of Heralds, you seem to carry out yours in a garage full of Beetles!!

Great to see those outer handles fixed.... getting your car more towards finishing point. These are few pics for your reference.

Yadav sir,

Thank you very much for the pictures, can you please enlighten me if even the 1950 Morris tourer came with such fuel meters on the dash.?????

I have a rounded meter right now there, if needed, i feel this is the right time to change that. Thanks.
