Hello All,

I am on the verge of finishing off my Morris Minor 1000's restoration, went thru a very bad phase from the first tinkerer, but luckily found a better one after one year and almost took a year more to complete the tinkering...lost lots of money on the tinkering, but got a neat job done... Lost patience many a times but...now I am happy...will post some pictures... I have lost many important parts from the first tinkerer and its pretty hard to find the minutes ones which give detailing for my car..... Driver door handle's broken...lost both of the rear door lock catchers...Front Grille hockey sticks got stolen...Can some one advise where I can get the door handles in India & also the rear door catch unit.

Hi srikrishnashira congratulations for rescuing your car and getting it back into form, I appreciate your efforts and persuasion which is more important in any restoration, there are quite a lot of restoration which became scrap because lack of interest after certain point of time or failures apart from money, you have over come it. I can understand how painful and frustrating it will be loosing part because of some fool, I had a similar experience while restoring my Jawa.

There is this gentleman trying hard to restore a Morris and there is a jerk who has done all what it takes to make Morris low light, hard top to go underground slowly close to Owaisi hospital, santosh nagar, there is another Morris on which goats sit and urination made it rot @ chandrayangutta it is hard to restore but can be a good donor car but that garage guy still wants it as he is going to be rich waking up from bed/dream and going to restore. I am sure you will over come this (missing parts) also wish you all the best.

Urgent Requirement of some spares or information on any known old spares Dealers who still have some stock of Morris Minor spares or deal with Spares in India...their contact Numbers & Address if any :
if available. Please help as most spares were lost or stolen.

3. Bonnet Handle ( Monogram )
4. New Windshield & Rear Glass if available...
5. Bumper Guards - Front ( L & R ), Rear ( L & R )

What are these bumpers? I have never seen like this, I remember the chrome ones only. I remember US spec bumpers are different to the UK ones are these something to do with them.

@ Chanu, I didn't have good Bumpers in my car when I bought it, I got them custom made and since they were copied from some car pictures from internet...yet to finish it off with a chrome or steel outer covers...

Hello All,

I need help to get the Steering Inner Column Rod that fits the Pinon, the milling of the same has worn out and its totally rounded off due to wear & tear... I tried a few shops & places in bangalore, but not of much help as the part is either small by some minimum diameter or I get is the Ambassador one which is bigger in diameter... My Mechanic says Harold one fits in but couldn't find one... Can some one help me out.
