I hope it is preserved forever! And I'm sure you guys will slowly but steadily convince him to revert to the remaining original bits for the car!

The upholstery is 15years old, all beedings originally fitted stainless steel, except for the beeding above the door frame.

Yes sir, He used to take very long time because he used to work on a number of cars together, Khodays's cars too but after his work no one would have any complaint. He used to given in writing the guarantee of his work. For my Lambretta he took 8 months but perfect job. He is my father friend too.

I've just acquired a Fiat, all of 8 inches long, made in China! Was killing time in Modelcraft, on Infantry road Bangalore, and what do I find? Taxi number nau do gyarah, an elongated rakish semblance of a 1100 Fiat, with remote control and working headlights! Here are the pictures.
By the way, are there any accurate models of 1100 Fiats available?

Even I want to know whether there are exact scale models available. Tried finding a lot then come out confused and smiling out of the shop because some sales people don't know what FIAT is

Lovely car, lovely bumpers . Do I see original inner door panels ?
Wish the car was painted in a more 'period' shade..

That's a nice model tonrag, it's an RC. I have one too.
Lots of nice Fiat 1100 models available abroad - right from the Millecento "dukkar" to a very well made "special" in two tone, like the one V-16 (Gogi) has. This is one of the best made fiat models I've seen. 1:43, made by Starline models, Germany.
What a coincidence that Starline was also the name of a company that modified Premier padminis in Mumbai !!

The door panels have been changed to aluminium ones. And the door handles i guess is the M800's or OMINI's.

Mr.Balan's Classic cycle

, Mr. Balan also has retained his father's old fold-able army cycle, which para-trooper used to carry on their back and jump from airplanes. The handle-bar and the rims-n-tyres have been changed but Mr.Balan has retain the original parts carefully. Here are two pictures of the cycle,

331 the Padmini

Karthik's '90 Padmini, currently in my custody.!

The car has been neatly serviced and all mechanicals checked and replaced if needed.

I think the best Padmini I have driven till date. Smooth like makkan. All thanks to the Previous owner for maintaining so well.

I will be driving this car in the FCB Meet.

Thanks Karthik!!

Wow! I too havn't seen her in this condition. We anyways know how well Arun takes care of Fiats. Not just the meet, you can driver her to Goa too when the Goa meet happens.

EDIT: Please put the club logo on her. Thats the only missing thing on her

Mmmm ! Nice car. Please fix a PAL logo on the grille. Looks incomplete without it.
Btw what's that starter like thingy on the right of the dash ? The starter looks like it's below the steering, correct ?
