Beautiful wonderful job !
Please please request, beg, plead, grovel, even threaten if required, but get him to remove those wheels.
Imagine this car with clip type wheels and hubcaps.. Sigh.

@Ravi:

But what I appreciate in this mod job is that few parts which generally are part of 'mod' job was not done. Like.. Few things are intact like front bench seats, steering wheel, combination switch, meter, dicky lock, bumpers, parking lights, side indicators etc. Thank god only the wheels are playing the spoilsport!

P.S: This thread has crossed 1lac views!

Welcome back Karthik bhai. The select looks immaculate. No wonder it was being worked upon with such passion. Every line is leveled and just perfect. IMO chrome wiper arm and blades will work further to enhance its looks. Lovely re-chroming job too. Would have looked better if the old number plate would have been retained. Personal choice i suppose.
BTW can you state which vehicle's headlights are those.

Multi club meet!!!

Guys I'm also back from kulu-Shimla-Manali trip for last 10 days.
Arun, Karhitk x 2, Ravi ramesh & Bhaskar: Nice multi club meet!! Keep it up.
I really liked Black Palio Style! It looks like tank on road. Still I feel the look of stile is better than Punto. If really FIAT aggressively market (that's the biggest problem with FIAT), Stile will sell equally good. Yellow Beetle is also nicely maintained. And "Sunbeam biege" select is really awesome (but alloy wheels are not matching-my personal opinion please).
Let's also think for FCB,FCM, FCCH, FCPune & FC Mumbai combined meet. In every year we can have it in Bangalore, Mysore, Hyd, Pune & Mumbai.

Yes Sir. We have been planning for it for over a year. Hope one such meet happens soon.

Side body pattis' and white walls to be fixed soon.

This Delight looks so similar to BLL 4919! The car was initially in Nimbus color as shown in the interior pic.

Enjoy the pics!!

Sharath!

That sure is one lovely Delight! Good to see another enthusiastic 1100an!

Are there plans to paint the dash in another colour btw?

The colour scheme however, is not the same as BLL 4919 (which is red and black) but (President) Rony's ex-LHD Delight, MRY (9501?), which is currently in the same colour scheme, originally being Gray.

Dear Karthik - thank you for comparing Sharath's delight MEB860 to BLL4919, it feels nice to read. I am posting two photographs of BLL4919 just for reference. Please get the front grille on MEB860 straightened out as the concave apprearance is not nice to look at. You may use 2 long bolts supported from the radiator side shields. I have done the same thing in MRF6466 as I had the same issue. It took around 6 hours of intense work to sort it out but in the end it gave an excellent look to the grille and the car.

Dear Shyam - Rony's LHD was MRY9501.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

BD Sir: Sharath was actually waiting to read your comments! Thanks. Hope he will follow what you have suggested.

P.S: B.D Sir, Arun is searching for the plastic wheel caps just like the ones in 4919. Thats the only part he needs for his Economy. If you happen to find another set, please pick it up Sir.

@SHARATH: Vow!

Another outstanding Delight with a superb bodyline, fantastic workmanship and mint condition fittings. I like the stance and the overall looks very much. Savin Shetty (FCCCI - Mumbai) also had a similar red colour on his FIAT, if I can remember.
Welcome to the family and Best wishes for a Happy and FIATFUL ownership.

The MEB-860 really looks very good. As Rony sir pointed out each line and the car's stance is just as it should be. Personally i liked the stickers on the by-pass oil filter.

Beautiful Fiat there Mr. Sharath. I too always loved to own one.

The body work seems perfect. I only wish the engine compartment was taken better care by painting more neatly. The wires too have the red paint on them.

I agree. Actually the work is not completely done. The engine room will surely look much better after the work is completely done.

During last week's FCB and BBC Meet, some of the FCB guys convinced PAVAN to go for the Fiat 1100 engine in a Beetle.
