FCBian Ramanathan bought his Super Select from famous tamil singer L.R Eswari!! No wonder this Fiat is so pristine!

Shyam: Do you listen to her songs?

Wow!! nothing can be better than this car. This car is well kept well done. Congratulations Ramanathan sir. This car might have been owned by the popular singer L.R.Eshwari whose voice is iconic in the past 70's but this car is no less it should also sing awesome note (Exhaust note).

Interiors are period and welcoming, thanks for sharing the pics. I've lost my heart again to another Italian beauty.

Oh yes, I have!

Wow, what a history this car has! Indeed a 'super' select!

I do hope the original Madras no. is preserved though!

^ One more car that has a lot of history is of FCBian Leslie M's Delight.

His car was used in a few films acted by Superstar Rajnikanth. This Delight is seen in climax scenes of movie "Mr. Bharath"!! Now, owning a car that was driven by the superstar is of great value for anyone.

Thanks mehul.

You are a Distinguished member of FCB. Nobody can beat your passion for Fiats. Hats off to you on success of your site - www.Premierpadmini.webs.com.

Today Arun requested Bhaskar to speak few words about you and your site. Bhaskar was introduced to FCB by you. We are really greatful to you. We discussed for about ten minutes about your passion for Fiats and also about FCK.

I SERIOUSLY wish you attend our next FCB meet.

Great show guys. Loved the appearance of 5094 SS. What a clean car with the period sun shade and those perfectly aligned wiper blades.

FCBian Irshad's Padmini.

Whats unique with this car?? It has a Maruti Gypsy 1.0 Engine! Mr. Irshad now wants to put in a Versa 1.3 engine!

Shyam: Some news for you again.. he he.. Mr. Irshad owns a pristine Red/white combo Herald! Not sure of the regn of it. I will try to get some pics for you.
He was suggesting FCB to expand even for other Indian cars like Standard and HM. But, I hope a SCB(not Standard Chartered Bank) is started soon!

Another pristine car with a very clean body line. It seems that this car has the rare metal grill though faded away.(or is it a plastic one) The wiper arms seem to be of a economy model and are the wheel caps different in pattern on both the sides or is it something else.

Nice paddu! As sagar keenly noticed, it seems to have a 1-piece metal grille?! Geez, how common were imported delights in Bangalore? considering there are so many of these grilles to be seen now!

And wow, that's great to know! So we have a Stan-Fiat fan!

Sure, would like to see pics. of the Herald. And yes, me too hope SCB is started there soon!

Wow, seeing some nice, really nice cars ! MSS 5094 is superb and original..
Mr. Dev's grey select is to die for.
Great work, guys.

@Shyam: The Italian one-piece metal grilles were available as (very expensive) optional extras, from the Premier showroom itself, according to Behram. Don't they look beautiful ? Seen a few on Mumbai taxies as well - probably have been on the cabs since they were private cars, and remained there even after being "taxi-ised" ! Tried to convince many a cabbie to let me buy the precious "Crommodora" off him, in vain..

Thank you Ravi, Shyam, Sagar and Bala for your appreciation!

The most stunning car of the day was FCBian Venkatesh's Padmini. Whatta body work is done on this car. Venkatesh got the work done at a town near Bangy - Chikkaballapur. The cars is just like showroom car.

His other car is also similar but in different color but modded very similarly. The brown car in the pics were clicked in Chikkaballapur when Arun and me had been there along with Mr. Behram Dhabhar.

Here are the pics of white and brown Padmini! Hope all FIATians are enjoying the pics!!!!!!!!!!

That's interesting, I never knew that!

Sad to know some of them ended up in the cabbies' hands...try tempting them with promise of something more bling-bling, 'ekdam jhakas(s)'
If not, wait until those cabs are scrapped with the MH govt. phasing out >20 year old cabs, where there might be chances of getting the grilles off.

According to BD sir, IIRC these crommadora italian grilles used to cost around 500rs way back in 1986!!

Arun bought two grills, each for 1200rs. I bought another one but sadly it has few cracks. These are made of white metal and tend to break/crack easily.
