These 2 are some of the most original Landmasters around. Almost cent percent originality. It's maintained by the mechanic I go to. The owner is extremely passionate and possessive of these beauties.

It's a nice picture. However, Landmasters were manufactured by HM from 1954-57. Hence, the car featured in this picture could be one from between those years, not 1952.

I am posting a picture showing Mr Osamu Suzuki behind the wheels of a Mark 4 (Standard). Picture courtesy Mr Praveen Dhaneshkar.

Thanks for there correction. Yes, I must have been post 1957. I was not born, when it was procured. The the people who did procure it, have gone away. But I have been with it from 1975-1994.

Re: Landmaster And Ambassador Picture Gallery

Blessed with a one family owned 1960 Ambassador. The ad was on Olx. However when I met the owner, he was a known person. The current owner - an elderly gentleman and me are alumni of St.Germains high school, Bangalore. This helped us to connect well and decide on the purchase.

The car is quite original. Bought by the current owner's father in 1964 from his dear friend, it has been a well cared car all through. The FC and insurance is valid. Got the car transferred to my name too.

Here are some pics.

Congratulations. That is a great find. It deserves a thread of its own.

OT: I have been trying to hunt down my grand mother's Mark 1 ambassador for a long time. It had the number KLD 4739. Was sold about 20 years ago after she retired and became tired of the repairs. The last info I got was that the person who bought it from her 20 years ago had changed the registration. I used to go to school on that car and remember the butterfly wipers vividly. One of the reasons why I felt home with my Hexa.

Thank you. It would be helpful if you could share some more info of the new regn. Guess it was regd in some other state.

Regarding the butterfly wipers, so true, I always loved the Civic and Hexa for this very reason!

Sir, spot on. The owner lives next to Krishna temple in Indiranagar. Great that you remember the car so well!

Arun, I have driven this car around a bit in 1980. My relatives who were in defence colony Indira Nagar and the former owners were family friends. The car was doing duty as run-around car for the wedding in my relatives family. They were lining in the 2nd Main Defence Colony, which is quiet close to the temple.

I am happy its with a enthusiast.

Best Regards and Drive Safe

Ram
