This surely is the best of both worlds, hats off to the owner. What a fin car would this be to drive. The interiors are looking so damn classy.

By the way, can some one forward this to Mr. Birla and his team. Man this makes so much business sense for the export market . I would definitely want one.

Ram
Ekdum absolutely correct,we got our Amby in march 1980.It was a DUSTEXA shade, almost same as ash shade. It was a standard version.Deluxe version came in dark brown shade in those days.Seats had slightly better ,smooth fabric along with those extras as mentioned.Otherwise all other technically it was same.
We had a very bad experience with tail end bearings noise in the gear box,it was found not by us but H.M. Engineer who used to visit the service points,he was Mr. Soures..very intelligent and good person.

The original head lamp ring is missing which along with the mark II bumpers are the sore points from the otherwise very original exterior.

Well I am visiting the Tamilnadu temple town of Palani this weekend and the taxi stand here has quite a few of Ambassadors in quite a good shape being run as taxi cabs. Posting a pic which I clicked today evening. Have seen quite a few if them running on the roads as well in this part of the country.

Re: Landmaster And Ambassador Picture Gallery

A Mark II from the mid 1960's clicked FB friend Mr Souryadeep Mukherjee.

A Mark 4 with a Mark II badge on the right fender clicked FB friend Mr Souryadeep Mukherjee.

The bonnet lock is so prominent and shows insecurity of the owner (battery thefts)

Landmaster And Ambassador Picture Gallery-07182014-042.jpg

The luggage boot appended chain lock also speaks of insecurity.
