Wrong bumpers. and wrong rear fenders (or modified) and lights.

That car might be a 1973 Beetle, with only the decklid and door handle of 1967.

The metal portion above the tail pipe in the above car is bulbous, and 67 never had that kind of shape. Agree this car is a mix - n - match masala But certainly not a 1967.

Pavan,
The rear apron that you are referring to -- looking bulbous is just an illusion. Besides, the bulbous apron was only on the Fuel injected cars which did not start till '75. IMO unlikely to be anything other than a 67. The '67 decklid was one year only. To close properly, I believe it also requires the matching rear apron. So, both would have to be changed out together.

Also, in 1972 the rear window was enlarged once again. So a '73 would have had the larger size one. To me this looks like the pre 72 rear window.

The front fenders are also the 67 and earlier type.

So, it could be a post 67 with 67 and earlier front fenders, decklid, apron, door handles, etc. Simpler explanation seems to be that the rear lights were changed and fenders were modified.

The front with the shape of the lights and the horn grills leads me to think its a mid to late 1960's car. So experts what do you say ?
this is a 65 bug owners name pritpal singh matharoo, rhd rag top, rear lights fitted later, bumpers fabricated by sarkaria motors chd, sadly fitted with a gypsy engine, ignore the strips as they are only after market accessory stick on type strips

I like the look with the padded dash. You do know that's not a 1302 dash pad right? Could not tell clearly as I'm reading from my phone but looks like some of your switches are not the right type for dash pad. Switches for these had longer stems. Some nice accessories in there. Not all period bit nice.

Agree with you Byas.

All mods done neatly.

BTW , which models of Bugs came in with the Blumenvasens and where was it located in the car?

I am longing to get one since long.

Also looking for the Original Blaupunkt stereo, Byas , since you are now in the US. Kindly keep an eye out for a good used ones from the Junk yard.

Will take it even if its not working.

the dash is the same which my car had till 2006, and was too worn out and cracked the time we tried to remove for paint, reg the switches they came with the dash pad ,personally purchased from Germany during my visit last month, so there is no point of switches not for this dash, and the radio(not stereo) has a sticker vw blupunkt, posting the pics of dash before i purchased,i have the car since 93,and i very well know how the dash looked originaly

'71-72 1302S dash had a rectangular opening in the center for the brake warning light and the fresh air fan switch. see (not my car, but a pic from the samba)...

The dash pad you show in the pics above has a circular opening only for one switch -- so I surmise you have the wrong one.

As to the switches, it could have been the angle of the photo.

as to mods, the only ones I noted were: Early year wiper blades (incorrect for '71); body color on grill and glove box (as opposed to the correct L43D code paint); non-basket weave upholstery; door pads have external screws; window winder is diff -- and in a different location than standard (compare with the pic i posted); vase accessory; horn ring is older model; horn button is accessory clock; fan switch and the blower itself seem to be missing.

Guys, I am in Brazil for some time. This place has tons of old Volkswagens being used as daily drivers!

Drop me a line about parts that you are looking for (with pictures and as much information as possible) and I will try to see what I can find. Hoping that I can help some people.
