Well Cyrus, you will be happy to see the high res pics from my cam now. It was a great evening at the DPC grounds on Sunday and I must say that our FIATS were really standing out amongst the other outstanding Vintages and Classics in company.

Cheers, FCCCI !!!

It really heartens me to see that rare beauties such as a LHD Fiat ended up in the hands of car lovers who have maintained it with pride. No wonder the words - Parsee owned - have a lot of value in Mumbai. Any one else would have sold the car for a premium or gotten rid of it to get a newer car in the garage, Not you guys, and may the tribe increase.

This is just too good - a very fat and genial parsee gentleman wished me "best of luck" during the Jamshedi Navroze celebrations at the Dadar Parsee Colony Gymkhana on Sunday "for the London Sydney Rally", he said. I just smiled at him and before I could start explaining, he was gone. Therefore, now apart from being the only known left hand drive Premier Padmini car exported from India and reimported into India, it now also has the distinction of having the "London Sydney Rally" fame attached to it. Thank you Mr.Very Fat and Genial Parsee Gentleman, whoever you are ! Paisa Vasool ! HaHaHa !.

The car is now safely parked in Nasik with the battery removed.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

Dhabhar Sir,

The LHD Padmini is looking superb Beautiful. Do you need to charge the battery when(before) you take the car out after hibernation?

Any extra stock of the plastic hub caps? cannot find a set in Kolkata for my car.

Hello Sumantra - after a very long time. Thank you for your compliments. Between my 4 restored cars, I have 3 batteries, so I keep them rotating between all my cars. There is no need to invest in the fourth battery as I cannot operate all 4 cars at one time. I barely managed to squeeze out one more set of original plastic wheel caps from my chor bazaar contact. These caps are still sometimes available in Mumbai but have a small yellow coloured disc stuck on them. I'll see if I can find such a set, I'll get it for you. The set that you see on the left hand drive was taken off a scrapped Fiat Uno.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar
