The SVZ featured on the cover of the Giulietta Veloce magazine, Summer ’97 issue. Erroneously mentioned as SZ.

An update on this incredible Alfa's history. We had discussed earlier how the legendary race car driver Dr. Cesare Rossi had raced this car often, and is seen in many pictures with the car on track. On contacting his family members, they shared their fond memories of this fast, bright red Alfa which was in fact not just raced but even owned by Dr. Rossi. The car along with his other Alfa was parked in their house basement, and every year they had to be hurriedly moved out before the monsoons came, as the basement flooded every year. They have promised to share photographs from their family albums, whenever they dig them up.

Also sharing this interesting piece giving us a short profile of Dr. Rossi and his India connections. He must have had the most amazing stories to share!

Wow this is truly a one of its kind build not just on Team-BHP but probably in the country. That car is a piece of history, it was so ahead of its time in terms of design! Watching this space intently for updates!

An interview with Rossi in the Indian Auto Journal, September 1986.

Amongst the cars he owned he talks about his "obvious favourite - the one that couldn't do anything wrong" - a special racing Giulietta, our featured SVZ.

The car won at Poona and Bangalore, abd in 1967 finished third at Barrackpore after learning too late it was to be run on grass. It was sold after being hit by a lorry between races from Madras to Coimbatore.

Then what about the 1969 Alfa Romeo Berlina in your state of Kerala?

Never heard of such a car existing! Can you shed some light on this, please? I'm very interested to know about the KL-registered Alfa. Is it still around?

It is actually an Alleppey registered car .Belonged to a famous Exporter family,Later sold to someone else in Kerala itself.The car was surviving in your state till about 10 years back.Should be there
