I wanted to ask - where are you getting the rubber parts from? Do they also have other Rover P3 spares?

For rubber parts the best source is
Scotts old rubber in Australia

Other rover spares, I have bought from

Hi Kartikeya - Is that Dodge/Desoto/Plymouth beside the Rover yours too? Asking as we had the sedan version for the longest time - you can see it if you scroll down the page at

Bonnet shut lines are perfect. Job well done. Looks like you are almost done with the project .... at least externally. clap: I noticed that the bonnet latch lever is now no longer there. Has the bonnet been converted to being unlatched from the inside of the car?

No, it does not belong to me , owned by a friend.

Thank you for your kind words of encouragement, nothing has been changed/converted the mechanism is all original, the bonnet handle was removed for paint work. You can see the hole for the handle in the picture below.

Thank you for the clarification. I missed noticing the hole. My apologies on the at count.
So we are done with most of the work and only minor issues remain, which I believe never end. Took her out for a drive yesterday and she runs very well, braking was not that great and should be sorted today.
couple of pictures

Beautiful car, KarthikeyaL. Been following your thread for quiet sometime to see the end result. Amazing job done! Great to see multiple slow and professional restorations on TeamBHP these days!
Your car deserves a proper photoshoot. Please. :)

Magnificent car. Take one's breath away.
Is it just me or the car is asking for dual tone or some break in monotony of single color. White wall inserts may help too.
Amazing job Karthikeyal.
Regards & Respect.

Hi, thanks for your appreciation.
The P3 originally came in single colors only and not dual tone, the color on the car is almost identical to one of the 4 shades that were available in 1948.
White wall tyre's were also not supplied originally with the car, and since we have tried to keep everything as close to original , would not like to change that.
regards
Kartik

Really appreciate your resisting the temptation to go in for an over-restoration / more bling by adding incorrect details. That is how a restoration must be - back to original - no more or no less. :thumbs up

Thanks again.
The car is finally out of the workshop and now at my home, hope to drive it frequently over the next few weeks to get used to driving it and to make sure that any other issues which might crop up could be sorted.
