Paint Jobs @ Trivandrum(Extreamly reasonable rates)-lancer2.jpg

The guy is in extremely experienced and will come to your place to paint your vehicle(he has all the necessary equipment like guns and compressor) he is extreamly reasonable, he quoted me 3k for my car's bonnet and right rear door combined all with dupont paint and i can vouch for the quality. He can deliver a vehicle on time he committed. His name is Rajan and his contact number is 09526586640. So guys @ Trivandrum do feel free to call him(do give my reference AP Reg lancer).

Re: Paint Jobs @ Trivandrum(Extreamly reasonable rates)

I persuaded my dad to give his Maruti 800 to this guy for full painting (need to re-register the car soon). Here is my experience:
1. I called him and asked "how much for M800, 1996 Model non-metallic full painting".
He says "Don't worry sir, only metallic paint costs above 10K. This job won't cost anything".
I still ask "But how much? The only dent on the car is on the front right fender".
He again says "Nothing much sir, let me first see the car".
Dad drove the car to him and discusses with him.
He says "This will cost 8K".
Dad: "But my son said it would not cost much? I thought it would be less than 5K".
He says "This would cost more than 10K in a workshop. Ok I would do it for 6K"
Lesson one: Prepare to bargain hard.
2. He initially quoted 5 days for the job, if he can paint the car at my house. Dad wanted the job done at the work shop. It finally took 10 days in the workshop. No complaints.
3. He calls up one night and asked for directions to my house, and says he's already at the nearby bus stop. He takes the car to my house and mentions that the only job left is cutting (sand-papering) and polishing, and that he would come to our house the next day for this. Dad had already given 4.5 K. Dad gives another 1 K, but he insists on 0.5 K more (full amount), promising to complete the job the next day.
Lesson two: Do not ever give the full amount before the job is complete.
4. I noticed that the tail lamp assembly connections have been mixed (the brake light blinks when I put on the left indicator, the left brake lights doesn't work. These are minor hiccups, I think.)
5. We have been trying to call him every day since then, but he hasn't turned up for polishing, and a week has passed. Now we are thinking of giving the car for polishing to some other workshop, because the re-registration date is approaching soon.

To summarize:
Pros: Recommended if you are looking to spend less money on paint jobs.
Cons: Need to have lot of patience and tactics to get the job fully completed.

Thanks Pramod for offering to help.
I forgot to mention that this guy had also helped by repairing the 'torn' rear bumper (metal string + putty + paint). Other service centers were offering "only replacement, no repair".
