S-drives are not comfort oriented tyres. I have myself been considering these, but refrained (mostly because of FE concern) due to comfort being somewhere in pririoty (not personally for me, only for family). Other than that, i have never noted anything like this before in stock Apollo's (from co-passengers). Quite unusual.

This is surprising, but it could be because of AC. Try changing the ventilation method first - if it's inner air circulation, change to outer; and vice versa. Keep that setting for a week and see if it rectifies the issue. Check AC's air, dust filter.
If that doesn't help, get your car's interiors cleaned up with germ clean treatment including upholstery, matts, roof etc.

If the suspensions are good, then these should solve your problem.

My Car is at service center for the 1.05K service. The service adviser mentioned about a coolant leak check and change of brake oils. Mandatory checks during this service.

They are now putting the cars on the ramp and checking the under body. He then mentioned that the steering rods (connecting the wheels) may need to be changed after some time.

Has any one completed the 1.05K service? I would like to know what are the additional checks and change done.

Hello Vento Owners, I am in the market looking for a used C segment sedan and Vento is one of the options for me. As you may guess from my Id, i currently own a Chevy Beat and am looking to upgrade.

I am looking for cars manufactured between 2012-2015, any major changes to Vento during this time so that i can avoid any particular year ?

Most of the cars are 2013, 2014 manufactured, so considering they are now 3-4 year old what are the major
a. Issues that i need to check in the car during the TD
b. Any major overhauls or part replacement required at the end of 3/4/5 years?

The primary reason to upgrade to Vento is planted ride on highways and good suspension, do you guys agree with this or are there better alternatives in the segment?

Finally, seems the service interval for Vento is 1 year, what are the expected service charges ?

I have a 2015 VW Vento TDI. It has done about 30000 Kms. Trouble-free ownership so far.
However, today evening when I was starting from office, the car won't turn on. Following is what happened :
1. Car unlocked via remote
2. Got in and plonked the key into the slot
3. I generally wait for a few seconds before turning the ignition. So I wait and the ICE turns on; I can hear the music now.
4. Now I turn the ignition on and poof! Everything switches off including the ICE and the speedometer.
5. I took the key out and tried again but now nothing turns on
6. I try locking the car via the fob but nada
7. Checked the oil and the coolant. Seem fine.
8. Repeated steps 4,5,6 a few times but nothing

I tend to think it's a battery issue but the car is hardly 18 months old.

What could be the problem?

Im no expert, but this can be a case of a blown fuse, or wiring gone haywire. Battery going flat suddenly is highly unlikely, to the extent where the car does not respond at all.

Possible issues I can think of considering age of your car:

1) Battery related. Battery either has conked of(happens near the 2 year mark for some cars) or loose terminal. Or then maybe it failed to be charged properly by the car and got discharged.

2) Some main fuse has shorted due to mice chewing up wires.

3) The key fob has malfunctioned and initiated the immobiliser locking down the system. Though I'm not sure this is how the immobiliser blacks out everything, because in most cars everything stays on except car doesn't crank up. Maybe it happens like this in VW but it's unlikely.

4) Something I couldn't think of .

Guess you've sorted it by now.

This can happen when the battery terminals ale slightly loose. Happened in my car, though it was intermittent. Check the terminal cables for tightness.

If you can use a spanner to loosen the terminals clamps, move the clamps a bit, seat them firmly and tighten.

Check whether the cable is loose within the terminal, if so tighten it if there are any screws or get it soldered at any radiator repair shop.

Check whether the cable that is connected to the body is tight.

Looks like a quote from the Skoda ASS. Very high quote. Dont buy from them.
Got to a Exide/ Amaron shop or Batterybhai.com. You should get a battery in around 5.5K. I had bought one year ago in this price range.

I agree with Aroy. It is possibly a loose connection with the battery terminal. Please check that first. Batteries do not go completely flat on the spot. Your car is just 2 years old with 30k kms on the odo. If the battery was completely flat, the car would not unlock and neither would the music system come on. I have a 2015 VW Jetta and faced the same issue and it was nothing but a loose battery terminal.

I guess this is because of the weak battery. Most of the VW OEM batteries hardly last 2 years. Just call the neighborhood battery guy and ask him to check the voltage.

Even, My Polo battery stopped working second year(and I guess only one year warranty for the OEM battery), whereas Amazon batteries come with 4 year warranty.

Exact same happened to my Vento and the battery was 2 years and 3 months old. As the car was on rooftop parking, had to get a local mechanic to jump start. Drove it around for some distance and checked the battery at a local shop before going to the VW Service. Both places confirmed that the battery is bad. Amaron outside costs about 5.5K (with exchange of old one) and Exide from VW costs around what you have quoted. I made the mistake of going with VW. New battery comes with 2 years warranty. The old battery was some other brand (not Exide/Amaron) and I found that VW had not taken it or reduced any amount for exchange. Now need to find a place to dispose it off.
