Not a huge fan of the design and one Hyundai is enough. It is quite expensive to maintain almost 10k every 10,000km

It would be a good idea to upgrade the tires immediately rather than eventually. My preference would be Yoko S drive. But for me road grip/braking was more important than noise. One also needs to be very careful on bad roads lest you damage it. Had a sidewall bulge after 1500km. I would say I was partially responsible for it. Got it replaced under warranty and have done 9k km after that.
Btw, I have extensively used Bridgestone, Michelin and yokos. S drive is my choice.

Got to know from the tyre dealer that yoko is not available in 185 60 15, it comes in 195. Would upsizing void warranty ?

Re: Volkswagen Vento : Test Drive & Review

I have been dying to post on this thread since I am a huge fan of the Volkswagen Vento!! I am a 32 year old spine surgeon from Bangalore and have recently joined Team BHP after a lot of efforts! I had booked a Shadow Blue Vento Highline Diesel with RCD 320 stereo system in the last week of February at Volkswagen Downtown and after a long struggle (motivated by Team BHP reviews!) I am getting my car delivered on Saturday (March 30th). There were a lot of hiccups in between, though the promised date was 24th March. I was chasing them from the word go, after knowing the pathetic track record of Volkswagen marketing and sales!! But I must say, they pulled up their socks at the right time because I was almost in the mood of cancelling my booking (actually that "trick" of threatening them that "I will cancel my booking" most probably worked!)
I am super-excited about my new car and just can't wait to lay my hands on my blue angel!!

I've gone for 205 55 15. It is the perfect upsize. Warranty - depends on your equation with the service center guys. Worst case scenario suspension warranty might be void.

Vento looks slightly taller and i believe the ground clearance have improved with 195/60 R15. How much did it cost you for the Yokohama A-Drives and how is the ride quality?

A's are kind of value for money, C's are better and are relatively more silent and better wet grip. I still prefer S .

Summed it up perfectly. If you find yourself driving a lot on bad roads, potholes etc, go ahead and get A-Drives. AFAIK the walls of the A-Drives are relatively harder than the C-drives.

C-Drives on the other had are super quite, and good on performance

I am happy with A-Drives, braking is much much better than the stock tires. Tire noise is minimal even at 140 km/hr

That is a lot of parking space you got . How many miles on the old ones ? (going by your ownership thread, it must be a lot !)
