No boss, it is not normal. Get it checked.
Will do so at the earliest.

As for the workshop in discussion, one of the bangalore Vento owners should be reverting to you. Did you search this thread on the same? I believe there were a few posts discussing the workshops in Bangalore recently. From that I only remember that VW Downtown is not a good workshop to opt for. There is actually a thread by one of the mods on it with his (-ve) experience described - look it up.

Tried looking up before, could not find any. will try again. I really appreciate your response. Thanks!

The experience of most members who serviced/repaired their cars at VW Downtown has been bad. My suggestion would be to try out the other workshops VW Palace Cross & VW Whitefield, depending on where you live in the city.

2) I have been facing a very peculiar problem - whenever i press the clutch pedal, i can hear a peculiar sound filtering into the car cabin ( a 'gad-gad-gad-gad' sound.) The moment i release the clutch pedal the sound goes away.
Except for the noise, it is not a cause of concern. Get it checked from the workshop if it is unsettling you. I had a similar sound and that disappeared after the first service.

3) Whenever the clutch pedal is released, i can hear a metallic 'clang' sound from the engine bay as though the clutch is engaging wit a 'bang'! Is this normal?
That doesn't sound like normal. Better get this checked too!

Here is how the grey Vento and Shadow Blue Polo look like. I'd say gorgeous!! This would have been my other choice had the Vento launched with this colour.

Re: Volkswagen Vento : Test Drive & Review

Thanks for that fabulous pictures.

Vento/Polo Climatronic software update: The updated software ensures climatronic is in AUTO mode, when air circulation mode is switched ON. Earlier, AUTO mode used to get turned off when air circulation is enabled.

Not sure, if new model has the updated software. Please check with service center.

The covers look fabulous. The leather material appears to be top notch too and the colour is well thought out. If u don't mind, please share the cost too.

One more thing, is it required to take off the original seat covers to get these done or is it possible to put these on over the original ones?

Great choice of colour, and excellent fit & finish indeed. Any idea what grade of leather is this, and how much was the cost?

Re: Volkswagen Vento : Test Drive & Review

Is this confirm, can you please quote your source. I spoke to the dealer yesterday and they had no idea about it. I can take their word to be genuine as I know them quiet well. Additionally, none of the auto websites have quoted this yet.

The answers will help me make a decision.

Apology for the delayed reply. The TBHP page wasn't loading due to C-panel update something .
If I understood you correctly , then upgrade in existing model can't be direct.
This is newly developed unit. Additional harness , functionality.

Should hit market by mid of February to March. Dealers have to clear old stock first .

Exact same thing, same style, same leather (albeit different color - Beige) had cost me 32k last June. Totally worth it I'd say. Karlsson is simply the best in business here.
