Re: Skoda Yeti : Review, Price & Pictures

For all the non-Elegance Yetis, the best choice would be a standard 2 DIN HU from Pioneer/JVC/Sony with a reverse camera and the Navi Box(from Mapmyindia).
Will make a nicely integrated system for a bit over 50K.

For the Yeti Elegance, getting the Video interface module for the BOLERO HU would make sense(but not financially). It costs about 15K online. After fitting that you can give any video input to the screen of the HU, even your ipods and iphones.
For GPS, something like the NAVI box from MMI can be used(I know someone got the whole Windows CE running on the Bolero HU)
A reverse cam can also be added similarly

I seem to have bungled posting pictures of my new Yeti. Sorry for the back to back posts, but I can't seem to go back to the reply I was drafting. I am using my iPad. Does it create some difficulties?

When you check it out, please see if it has the cornering function and is self-adjusting (when you turn it on). The OEM Bi-xenon headlamps have both.

The bottom left section of my Yeti's rear taillight does not light up ,their td vehicle has the same feature. Is this a design feature common to all Yeti's or is this a fault. Singh Motors does not have a clue. Please help.

I am sure its not the OEM because pramod has confirmed they cost ~22k a piece and are not even sold here. I will try to get a picture even if I am not going for it..

Does the Indian spec Yeti come with the interior monitoring system?
If yes, then on which of the variants

Is it the Elegance 4X4? We had booked this color and cancelled as they couldn't procure it.

All formalities for Mato Brown is completed. The Car should arrive by next week.

No harm in checking out. You never know - it might actually be OEM.

This is what you'd be looking for:

Yes it's an Elegance 4*4 Aqua Mist. I was not expecting delivery before 15th of this month but all of a sudden they rang up and said the car is here. It's fantastic.

Re: Skoda Yeti : Review, Price & Pictures

Its because we ordered the Car, got frustrated with over two months of booking & cancelled it. Glad that it went to a BHP-ian

LOL, you should thank us

No interior monitoring system for Yeti in India, it still an option that you can get fitted in any Yeti, the hard part you will not get any part and support from Skoda India. The interior monitoring system again comes with a module that has an infrared light and integrated tilt sensor, the module usually sits in the goggle holder and gets a switch that can to be mounted passenger side to switch the system off! This is a integrated module with controller, you need to rewire the module with CAN gateway and do the activation via VAG/VCDS. This also needs a different goggle holder too.

Well lets get together sometime to celebrate. I will be crossing Purnia in early December. Maybe I will see you then. Need to get the Team- Bhp stickers.

Oh by the way I have crossed the newbie stage so I can PM now. Great !

It's a good colour.

Hi Pramod I had asked my dealer about the Bluetooth part numbers you have used. Now they want 38000 rupees for it. It's out of the question as far as I am concerned. Do you know of any other systems which do not use too many wires, for instance.

Thanks in advance.

I ask again to all members who contribute to this thread.......why do you folks not share your pricing details for the yeti's that you have purchased.......if you do......those coming behind you to buy the yeti based on your posts would get a good deal from the skoda dealer

All members and subscribers to this thread.........please share details of the price at which you got your yeti so that others can benefit from your experience.

Re: Skoda Yeti : Review, Price & Pictures

Hello Vinay, many of us have shared the information. There would be no reason to specifically hide the info as prices are a open book. Only difference is how much we can negotiate the discount.

In true spirit of sharing info and since you ask, let me start. Yeti delivered in the last week of July'12. April'12 on VIN. 4x2 Ambition 16.5L OTR. Individual Mumbai registration. Includes shield and 0 dep policy. Folks have gotten sweeter deals but I have never been a good negotiator.

Hope this helps.
