Yes it is not available as spare. Try sourcing any other cap from MS or Hyundai or Tata provided it matches the diameter. Mine was lost. So I had to plug a small sized rubber cap and cover it well using duct tape. Later on I had got one cap from FASS for free. If any Linea comes for HL assembly change they could give spare/used dust cap to you. So try to get one from fiat service center itself.

Re: Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review

Looking for some feedback from anyone here who are running their TJet on Cobra lowered springs? My 2013 Dynamic variant came with ground clearance of 185 mm and 15-inch alloys. I think originally TJet had a ground clearance of 170 mm.

Folks sitting behind complain of nausea, hoping a reduced ride height would lower the body roll and solve this problem. I've given up looking for original TJet low ground clearance springs that are no longer in supply.

Re: Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review

I recently moved to Hyderabad and I'm looking for a good service center to get my Tjet serviced.

I have had good experience with World of Service in chennai. Are there any places with similar kind of expertise and workmanship in Hyderabad?

No 'B' pillar brace! which is very surprising.

I was quite shocked to see no B-pillar brace for your T-Jet. I happen to own a Linea Classic Petrol and my roof is no longer stiff. Press lightly at the center portion or anywhere near the center, and it goes like 'padak!!!'. When I asked Hyson dealership in Kochi, the service advisor Sudheesh said that there are no supporting braces. I'm not too sure. When I checked 99rpm for the part details, it appears that It is supposed to have crossrail at 'A', 'B' and 'C'-Pillars.

Is there any way we can get this addressed by the company? Mine is a cut-price model, which is why I'm asking.

Hello i have the 2016 MJD and have exactly the same issue, i have tried telling them many times and FCA/MOPAR always said "Nothing wrong with your AC". I am in Pune and i think you did the servicing in Pune as well, can you please share the details of the place?

Re: Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review

I currently own a TJet 2014 and have done 1L+ so far and the car is still going strong. Have test driven many potential replacements but nothing worthwhile so far. Looking for suggestions for a good service centre in around Whitefield Bangalore that is trustworthy as I am looking for an alternative to the FASS that I have been going to so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello I am located in Ludhiana and got the work done here, FCA wasn't able to resolve the issue twice and the AC was let's say mediocre which led me to believe that it's as it is by design but it's been around 2 months since the work and car has been driven for around 2000 KM's and AC remains a chiller for now.

I used to maintain my Linea T jet at Bosch Hoodi post the warranty period. Did a full brake job with them. I can't say if they excel in any particular area. There are a mix of cars that come there for work and they are always busy. Trustworthy for sure. They fixed the starter motor on my 72' Fiat and that's holding up 6 years. Not the place you want to take your car for a tidy up or a wash. I don't think they have the time for it.

Re: Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review

Hi,

Seeking valuable inputs from fellow Bhpians on couple of points:

1. Off late my Tjet seems to be consuming more fuel. I am deducing this from rapid rate with which the fuel guage meter drops. However, as per the car's MID, there has been no change in fuel consumption. Is MID information reliable?

2. Recently I saw a crack in the axillary sleeve (image attached). I showed the crack to a mechanic and he non chalantly said that it happens in old cars. However, he did not recommend replacing or repairing it. Should I tape it up and forget it or get it replaced?

How old is your Tjet? Did you measured using tankful to tankful? The average fuel economy display is quite reliable in Tjet with it being optimistic by .5 to 1km/l generally. Also, the bar in fuel gauge moves faster towards ‘empty’ in last 3 sections of gauge. It’s pretty normal.

The cracks aren’t visible. Can you share more clear pic? Also, taping shouldn’t be an option. If the crack isn’t superficial, better replace it.

Thanks abhi_tjet. The car is 11 years old (65K Km). I haven't tried tankful to tankful method, primarily beacuse the running has been relatively low of late (100 Km per month). Will park my aphrensions on the fuel mileage for the time being and keep on tracking the MID.

I will share a more clear pic of the sleeve asap.

This doesn’t looks like a problem. My Tjet also has similar ones. However, you can definitely take one more opinion from a different FNG or FASS.

Re: Fiat Linea T-Jet : Test Drive & Review

Hi,

Today I went to get the PUC done and was surprised to find that the CO emission has increased 10X (0.03 in March 2022 to 0.31 today). Even the THC level has increased from 117 to 167. I am wondering what can be the reason behind such sudden jump in emission.

Should I get the spark plugs changed (the car has run 65K and spark plugs change @ 60K service is due)? Or should I look at other components as well?

Praying that it has nothing to do with the catalytic converter.

Please advise.
