red stallion:-) just thought a good idea would be to also check with any of our tbhpians in mumbai who would be interested.

Put an ad in the Teambhp classified section. As I think any bhpian would first check over there and then check somewhere else.

I have seen 0% offer on Polo on VW site, are there any hidden things on this offer? A friend of mine is looking to buy one, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Best thing to do would be going to the dealer and checking. All VW offer clauses are usually very clear.

Not sure if this is correct thread to post this query. Facing kinda problem. There was a small god idol on my dash while braking it got slipped due to weak glue and fell into the air vent that blow air to windshield. When I came home and checked by looking from outside the windshield as I couldn't see in that area from any other angle I couldn't see it anywhere there. I am sure it has gone inside the duct. How do I get this out? What kind of damage could it cause if I drive around with it inside?

Is the idol that small that it could have entered the demister vents on top of the dashboard?!

If yes, IMO, it would require the dashboard to be removed. Get it done ASAP to avoid damage to the HVAC system.

Yes actually idol was that small. But how could it damage HVAC system. I have heard of kids pushing coins and pens even in that vent. Doesn't the vent has any barrier between HVAC system? How much could service center charge for this?

There will be a barrier but it could keep rattling inside and may damage if it comes in contact with any sensors or wires hence I said 'may damage the HVAC system'.

God knows how much the ASC guys would charge, why not visit A/C specialists in your city for a better and cheaper job?!

EDIT: Which model is your POLO? Is it manual A/C or ACC?

Its ACC. Would it be safe to get it done outside service center? Its only in 6th month and still under warranty

Depends on the type of guys you visit. If you trust the AC specialists in your city then go ahead.

If not go to VW for the job as they'll be responsible for any damage.

Thanks for the multiple responses man. Appreciate it. Even if the ac guys are super good. Wouldn't it void the warranty if outside service center guys open it?

Not unless they open it shoddily giving hints to VW ASC that the dashboard has been fiddled with. Not that you'll tell them anyway.

I was concerned about quality of local a/c service centers especially considering its an ACC and dash also houses airbags. Spoke to service advisor in VW. He said that the item in duct cannot cause any damage to any of the sensors or any such important components of ACC. He also confirmed that whole dash has to come off to get the thing out. It would cost INR 3500 to take off and refit the dash.

The Service Advisor is correct. The item cannot cause damage to anything in the HVAC system. The only mild issue it could possibly create is to get stuck in between the doors which control the air flow to different places and then you would have air leaking out of the wrong places at the wrong time. But that is just a distant possibility and also needs you to have really bad luck. Which doesn't seem to be the case as you are a VW owner! So just drive on....

If I install front parking sensors in my Polo will it void warranty?
Any other place where I can OEM type once except Vagtune.
The one available on Vagtune-http://www.vagtune.in/secure/car-type/car_volkswagen/car-polo-6r-2010/polo-6r-parking-assistance/skoda-genuine-front-parking-system-retrofit-kit-detail

So finally sold my Polo Highline today for 4.75 lakhs. Vehicle was purchased in July 2013 and used sparingly for only 3444 kms(final reading).
The vehicle was solid, had mature handling and stable road manners , amazing suspension.

Reasons of sale: single dealer in entire North east, higher maintenance and repair costs, requirement of new vehicle.
