Nice car, more pics please. Well, alloys coupled with low profile tyres (Am I right here?) look great. Can you share some details of the same?

Congrats on your new car. Drive safe.
Cheers

The corporate discount varies depending on which co you work for. But u should certainly be getting a minimum of 30k off on the 2011 car.
In Mumbai, theres a straight 50K off on the 2011 models. Nothing off on the 2012 models other than the corporate discount(depending on the company you work for)

In Bangalore, 50K discount is for Polo Highline Petrol and Vento Diesel.

However, they have restricted Polo 1.2 Highline discount to only 30K. I have checked it with all the 3+1 dealers in Bangalore.

Are you sure about the fact that 50K is offered as a discount for 1.2 H Diesel, If yes, which dealer in Bombay? This information would be useful for me to get back there and negotiate further.

What youre saying may be right. I was looking for a quote on the 1.6 petrol.

A bhp-ian (Rareone) has confirmed the following additions to the 2012 Polo 1.2TDI Highline

1. RCD 310 HU with AUX input. Is there a USB option for this HU ?
2. Cigarette lighter
3. Steering mounted audio controls

RCD 310 has USB input inside the glove box in the post refresh ventos. Welcome addition to the polo if available. The steering may have bluetooth call answer button, don't be fooled by it. Its just a dummy one in the vento!

This is the only one additional feature which is worth in the 2012 model.

Cheers!

True! As crazy as I may sound, i wish it can be fitted onto the existing Polo's.

But I figure there's no way to do it other than to change the whole steering assembly.

Re: Volkswagen Polo : Test Drive & Review

Is it okay to take new car without (plastic covers) on seats ? also want to know temporary number is alloted to all new cars ? the cars which aren't sold/registered yet) they are just outside/inside showroom ? the car we looked has no plastic covers on seats not even on headrests also having red tempory number sticker on it, i'm thinking it's used but unsure.

There are 2 variation in the Polo TDI Highline, which I saw in the stockyard.

1. RCD 310 with USB + Steering Audio Controls (similar to the new Vento)

2. AUX port next to cigarette lighter with existing polo audio system

The RCD 310 model is Dec - Jan 2012 make.
The AUX model is Feb 2012 make.

So customers can now select if they want RCD 310 with USB and steering controls OR just take one with AUX input is it ? Any idea whats the difference in price between these 2 variants ?

The RCD 310 varaint is very rare, and has a premium of 18k above the price tag.

Re: Volkswagen Polo : Test Drive & Review

Steer clear. There is no reason why the car should be registered temporarily before being sold. All probabilities it is a TD car or display vehicle.

That's interesting, but isnt so surprising since VW is known to be very inconsitent as far as feature list of the car goes!

I'm still unable to understand the logic, will probably get a clear picture once deliveries begin for the 2012 manufactured cars.
