To all the polo lovers out there ,

Dont know if you are aware about this or not , but the breeze " weekend offer " has now become the year end offer .
Link :- Year-end Offer < Polo < Models < Welcome to Volkswagen India

Now the dilemma starts ,
For some reason my father has fallen in love with the looks of the polo , and the more i look at it , the more im following his footsteps . We have somewhat finalized on the Polo Comfortline 1.2 Tdi .

So here are my basic queries , :-

1) What is the breeze pack all about ?? I do understand that one gets a sat nav , rear parking sensors etc but are these all included in the cost or does one have to pay extra for these features ??

2) The site also mentions something about bouquet offer. Which has many sub offers such as low emi and free insurance etc . How will these offers individually amount to a saving of 40,000 as stated by the website ?

3) I do remember that someone had mentioned , there was an offer in which VW was offering Free Insurance + 15,000 worth free accessories , is it still on ?

4) Does anyone know what are the standard cash discounts being offered on the polo comfortline 1.2 tdi as of now ??

Im really sorry to bug you all with so many questions , but i hope you all know how difficult it is to convince your head on a matter that is governed by your heart :)

^Yes I booked a Polo recently, you get 2 options 1) the breeze pack which comes with satnav (external unit stuck to windscreen with suction cup) seat covers (lousy looking and not very well fitting) cushions and stickers.

Option 2 is the 40K cash discount which is structured as Insurance worth ~18k + AMC worth 24k + Accessories for a min of 15k which works out to 57k min, of which 40k is discounted so you pay base price + 17k if you can manage to fit your accessories list in that 15k otherwise more

Breeze pack is actually extra set of accessories thrown in to Petrol and base diesel variants to make these cars VFM and there-by attact customers. There is no extra cost for getting this.

Bouquet offer is a set of small offers. There are 5 sub-offers from which you can choose 3. Free Insurance, lower EMI, Free accessories etc. In total this claim to give Rs 40,000 savings.

3) I do remember that someone had mentioned , there was an offer in which VW was offering Free Insurance + 15,000 worth free accessories , is it still on ?
These are one of the offers from bouquet.

There are corporate discount for employees of some listed companies in their database. But I am not sure if this discount can ve availed along with above offers

Im really sorry to bug you all with so many questions , but i hope you all know how difficult it is to convince your head on a matter that is governed by your heart :)

Hope this helps. My comments in bold.

First of all congratulations bottle on your polo :)
Which one did you go for and diesel or petrol ?
And thanks a lot for the help .

It seems you have opted for the second option available?
So what all accessories did you take , and what all accessories are actually on offer ??

Acessories are mostly overpriced at VW, but since you have the offer it becomes 'a must' to choose from the best available!
IMO consider the following,
Mud Flaps, Rear parking sensor( unless you want to have the reverse camera ), Car cover, Seat cover, door mats, door strip.

Cheers!

AFAIK, Breeze package/ 40K discount or goodies worth that are NOT offered on Diesel. These were on offer only on Petrol Trendline only. But yes, corporate discount can be clubbed with other offers. I bought POLO Trendline TDI in Pune & didn't get any offers except Corporate disc worth 10K, thouh I took insurance from outisde, Zero Dep@17K, 6 K less trhan what they were quoting. You can also try for the same. Also, My brother bought POLO petrol Trendline in Ahmedabad, opting only for free insurance & rest in cash discount, along with corporate discount of Rs. 10K. Please check with your dealer if these offers are applicable on Diesel models, specially Comfortline. If yes, try for cash discount, as you can get these things of better quality at much lower prices outside. Congrats in advance for your car:).

I heard the same thing as well about VW accessories being way overpriced ..

I feel that the must have accesorie for me would be fog lamps , as the Comfortline model does not come with them as standard and as i have read that lights on the polo are nothing that great either .. I know they wont make much of a difference but it will be a bit better none the less ..

What say ??

I had the fog lamps as standard since was the Highline model.
The llumar sunfilm could be an option to be considered, though a bit overpriced.

Not seen fog lamps in the accessory list though!

Cheers!

Some features on the Polo are deactivated from factory. VAS diagnostic tool would be used and the missing features are activated.

Cheers!

Hi all,
I've recently Bought a Polo tdi Highline and got 2 yrs extended warranty. I have a question to ask. I've heard that if I get anything done to my polo, i.e. changing the music system, etc. from the place other than the VW dealership, the warranty gets void. Is that true?? If yes, then what all thing can be done from the local Accessories shop?? I want to get Seat covers and sunfilm installed in my polo and I'm planning to get all done from a local shop. So will this affect my warranty?? And what all things can be done from the local?? Please Help..

Yes, VW is fuzzy on modifications and would void warranty in most cases.
Seat covers and sunfilm are not covered under this though!

You talk to your delaer and check on the modifications that you intend to have, there are some who are flexible to this.
But generally changes to tyre upgrade, music system change, etc would make the warranty void.

Cheers!

Congrats on your new Possession. You Can get even music system installed from outside(I Did). Only thing is, make sure no wires are cut/ stripped & proper connectors are used. That way, they can't deny warranty. Also, seat covers & sunfilms have nothing to do with Car's mechanicals/ electricals. This is only a ploy of dealers to earn some quick bucks. I'd recommend you to not go for accessories from dealer if not priced right.
Most importantly, if you have a bit of time & heart for fight, don't worry about warranty issue. You can always pull them up & get the matter sorted. C'mon, this is a buyers' market & manufacturers will need to keep customers happy. Wish you many happy miles :), Drive Safe.

I just went to book a polo tdi trendline and the dealer told me that theres no AMC for the diesel polo. Anyone else been told the same thing? I thought AMC was now available for both variants. This is at the Gurgaon showroom. Please help me out because i really wanted the peace of mind of the AMC. Thanks

It's true. I too bought POLO TDI in oct & same thing was told to me as well: No AMC on diesels. Can't understand this discrimination  .
Anyway, congrats on your new vehicle & wish you many happy miles ahead. Drive safe :)
