@VTEC

I think prodigy was referring to the NCAP rating, not the BS4/Euro 4 ones.

The build quality does feel much more solid than either the Ritz or the Swift.

Nice report. Well done. That dashboard is awesome for a small car.

GTO, just one request, can you post some shots taken from a longer focal length (atleast 50mm or 70mm). The all wide angle shots of the complete car is kinda distorting the actual look.

BTW, aren't the twins in the Transformers 2 are Beats? They look smashing with those alloys. Beat owners, probably you guys can try the same ;-)

@bluebeat
congrats buddy your beat looks so stunning.
@KSM-VTEC
no offence to Maruti owners but none of the Maruti cars are value for money. Front legroom space is comparable in both. The build quality I can say is definitely much better than the Maruti and even Hyundai. KB Swift is a great car too and is also highly recommended as well but if you want a great small car that drives so effortlessly in the city and is loaded to the neck(amongst other small cars). Beat is the true value for money car available in the market. I like swift a lot but just wanted to try out something different. EURO 4 NCAP was for the safety rating. GM also has a good service network unless one lives in a small city but see Maruti has been around for 30 yrs and GM only for a couple of years now so Maruti's service advantage is very natural.
@others
sorry guys for the delay in the pics and review, not feeling well these days so not even driving my Beat and its lying covered in the parking lot. Hope to get better and will post the pics asap.

Hey i agree that both the cars are good, thats why this question in the firs place.

But personally to me for the following reasons i think the Swift is a better choice for this guy -

1. Lot of road trips - the maruti advantage
2. he is tall - leg room
3. the KB swift gives almost the same FE - cost effective
4. initial budget is not a constraint for him

The swift was purely my opinion and i could be wrong because i havent driven the Beat and nor have i read too many reviews(because there are not toomany as its a new car)

Completely open to suggestions guys!!!

Even on my road trips i have noticed atleast 1 maruti aut service center every 25kms, it helps a lot. Where as GM *** is difficult to find.

The presence of Electronic stability control as an option on the Polo increased its score in safety equipment to 71% with 43% for the Chevy. Read on to know about other cars in this class.
It says here that POLO has ESP. Does Indian Polo have ESP?, Methinks not !

Unless he travels on super smooth freeways, Beat has the superior ride quality for rough roads.

Perfectly agree with you.... All these years Maruti was skimming the market.

Hello guys

I finally took the delivery of my white Beat LT yesterday .The boomy sound really makes you to rev hard.
Some of the things failed to notice during my TD .

1)Parcel tray under the front seat .
2)The car gets stalled in 2nd gear with light foot (Didnt find this in TD car) may be my verna has spoiled me(with a lttle release of the clutch the verna moves).

yes the under seat tray is very useful on occasions
@Max
In the name of accessories they have the floor mats, mud flaps, car cover, gear lock and key less with and without immobilizer.
@Oxygen
In fact Beat cannot be compared to A star since its a 1000CC engine where as Beat can always be compared to any 1200CC car even with the fabia and and i20. Comparison with ritz, swift and i10 is very natural and they can be good benchmarks for it.

I finally got delivery on my black lt option pack two days back. Can't really say much other than i'm thrilled and its exactly as I thought it would be ... i was talking to the sales rep and he's saying LT option packs have a 6 month waiting period almost, 4 months for the LT. crazy isn't it?

Now all I have to do is find a hella or roots horn and possibly a better headlight. any suggestions?

Congrats bbyf16 - Beat looks hot in black, get white alloys to compliment the look!! :-)

GM is not Maruti to have that kind of waiting period, customers have more options now. Better they improve to survive in India.
