Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

Mine is within permissible limit V-Kool fitted from the dealer at the time of delivery.

Grounded Beaty for few days. Will wait and watch. Don't want to damage rear de-fogger.

Cheers!

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

Removed my sun films guys, simple procedure, didnt do it myself though, somehow the green tint present on the glasses as stock suits the Black colour of my car.

I was effectively running 49% sunfilms with 70% Garware over 70% stock which I was anyways finding too dark at nights.

However, I don't like the complete transparency on my cars insides. Need to keep a lot of stuff lying around at the back in the boot now away from prying eyes.

hmmm, I am not really sure. Is there a specific way to check it (how can I fog up the rear glass?)? I tried switching it on and checking if the rear-glass heats up. It did but that could just have been the sun burning down. Will check again at night. It doesn't look damaged and I am pretty sure the people who took it off did a good job.

By rubbing ice cubes on the window from outside?

I thought we both were of the opinion that only the diesel version of the Beat had green tints! See the post http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/offici...ml#post2713995

Rightly said thoma, well, no wonder TBHP comes with a smiley.

I did a PDI on my Beat 5 days before delivery and never noticed it (on delivery I had 70% garware on). Saw it on another BHPians Diesel Beat and wondered why the petrol one didn't have it.

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

My parked Beat got hit by a Jazz and the damage can be seen through the pictures I uploaded on my ownership thread (link below).

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/test-d...ml#post2768072

Now since the damage is on the Bumper and on the wheel arch which attaches the bumper, any idea about what repair and costs are involved here? And also, even if I can get my bumper replaced, can the damage on the wheel arch be re-painted and hammered to look like normal?

Just pour a cup of water over rear glass (cover the whole glass area) and switch on the defogger for couple of minutes. If dry lines appear along the lines without any break then defogger is working fine.

Oops! Sorry to hear that. Take care of it from local paint shop. Not much to claim the insurance. If bumper locks are broken buy 3 or 4 Feviquick and DIY. Give 2 hours atleast for glue to settle.

Cheers!

Vinu

Will do the water pouring tomorrow and let the thread know.

The locks aren't broken and the bumper is as sturdy as it normally is. Only thing is, there are scratches, the paint has rubbed of and the metal has got bent (not the bumper but the one on the wheel arch)

Re: Chevrolet Beat : Test Drive & Review

So a local denting and painting shop can bring back your black beauty.

Cheers!
