Now this is the suitable horn for the Kylaq, the stock horn is depressing.
Just today I called up tafe Skoda service & they informed only one horn can be replaced & dual is not possible from their end.
Have to explore other ideas.

So, I have just completed 2200kms on my kylaq & just came back from 800km road trip. In the overall trip after i cross 80kmph, the steering vibrates/wobbles under acceleration. Everytime i cross 80kmph while accelerating this happens.

I took the car to a nearby tyre store as I hadn’t gotten my wheels balanced after putting TPMS.

The tyre store person pointed out that the tyre is not proper & its due to the defective tyres.

Was perplexed to hear this. Anybody else facing this issue?

Hey, I have clearly mentioned about the dual horn harness which has to be procured online. Buy it and then request your dealer accessory staff to fix it for you.
Cheers!

Finally I enhanced with dual tone the way I wanted to from the boring alloys of my Signature Plus.

I loved this particular alloy design of Slavia than the ones of Prestige variant of Kylaq which is any way 17inch. If I am supposed to grab 17inch same design of top-end Kylaq, then I will have to upgrade my tyres from 16 to 17inch and cost will skyrocket as 17inchers are super expensive.

Prestine looking alloys - Photo from the Bangalore tyre shop which convinced me to go for the upgrade.

Could you please share the tyre shop details. I am also looking to change my Octavia 16 inch alloys.

Re: Skoda Kylaq Review

Today, while I was leaving office here in Germany and driving through the roundabout near the main gate, I noted a Kylaq kind of Skoda parked in front of the gate which is strange since it is India specific model. I did not exit the roundabout and drove another round and parked my car at the gate and confirmed that it is indeed a Kylaq! It is a test mule as expected and had a laptop hooked into it with measurements running. I guess it's ABS/ESP stuff.

It is a RHD car with Czech licence plate but what's different compared to the Indian variant is that it had rear disc brakes. Not sure whether it is 1.5 TSI however the exterior is normal one without any sport body kit.

Since I was out of the office campus, I clicked couple of snaps.

Good catch there. Skoda will definitely be looking into expending with kylaq in European or Latin America markets. Pity we have lost on rear brakes here but an update in near future is possible. Skoda will ensure that they capitalize on initial success of Indian version. But a 1.5tsi on kylaq is very unlikely to be launched in India. At a guesstimate price of 17 lakh for a 4 meter car, it will be a very hard sell.

In NCR they're accepting Classic bookings. Lajpat Nagar dealership was even willing to arrange test drive at my location. So I disagree. Yes, it is a marketing ploy to hook / bait customers but I didnt face outright refusal.

In the same vein, are there any Classic owners on this thread?

This has transformed the car. Congratulations. Are these alloys normally sold outside the OEM community?

?
Even I feel some vibration in steering after crossing 60-70 kmph, I felt it mostly coming from right wheel.
I though it might be disc rubbing and would go away, have completed around 1200Km still it is there, might need to book a visit to service station.

Re: Skoda Kylaq Review

Hi,
Really tempting and looks great with the replaced alloys than the OEM one for KYLAQ. what are all the other accessories you got fitted by SKODA dealer, this is just out of curiosity, as i see the Mud flaps are missing, or is it because you are planning to install an after market mud flaps?

Re: Skoda Kylaq Review

Hi everyone,

I received a message from the dealer (in Delhi) informing me about some April month-end discounts. The Kushaq Signature Plus AT is now being offered at around ₹13.75 lakh instead of 14.20 (on-road, Delhi registration).

I’m currently upgrading from a 15-year-old Ritz and was a bit confused between going for the Kushaq or the Venue S(O) DCT. The Venue would cost around ₹12.70 lakh (on-road, Delhi registration).

The car will primarily be used for city driving within Delhi.
Would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

Thanks in advance!

I think you mean Kylaq, not Kushaq!!
If your budget allows then i would definitely recommend Kylaq. It has a significantly better driving experience and the signature plus has mostly better features vs Venue S(O).

Re: Skoda Kylaq Review

Yes, it’s the Kylaq — apologies for the earlier typo!
I'm also quite surprised to see them offering a discount at such an early stage after launch.

UPDATE:- After getting the wheels balanced as I had mentioned earlier, Went on a 150 KM drive on highway.

Happy to report that the steering vibration as I had complained vanished. My guess is that it was due to wheels not balanced after I had the TPMS installed.

Congratulations on the hawk-eyed catch. May I ask which city in Germany is this? wonder why the car is in Germany. Skoda is a Czech OEM albeit owned by VW of Germany. If Skoda India can export this car to RHD markets it would be a major business enabler. Would love to hear more!

Disc brakes & 1.5 L engine dont look like a logical option for India market since Kushaq is already there.
