Re: 2024 Maruti Dzire Review

Any idea, how many new DZire vehicles sold in January?
I'm yet to spot it in Bangalore roads.
So much buzz it got for looks and safety but looks like Maruti is very slow in delivering these.

Interesting observation. I was thinking the very same thing yesterday. I live in Delhi and have only spotted one new Dzire till now. Very odd for such a touted model.

I have seen about 4. Whites and silver. Its not distinct and you may have mistaken it for some other car. Moreover, the market has moved away from sedans.

I have seen only one till date, I actually prefer the looks of new Swift (Especially the red or blue). Also Dzire looks different only from the front, side view is exactly same as before.

If I were in the market in this budget, I would rather pick a Baleno/Glanza which feels VFM in front of Swift/Dzire

Honda Amaze 3rd Gen is also a good alternative. Albeit premium pricing would be higher than the corresponding Maruti product. Keeping looks aside (its subjective) Maruti outscores on mileage and service center footprint. Not commenting on safety since only DZire is 5 star.

New Maruti Suzuki Dzire Gets Price Hike:

Quote:
Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced earlier that its models in the country will be getting a price hike. Now, the changes in the prices have started coming into effect for various models. Included in the list is the new Maruti Suzuki Dzire. The compact sedan was launched in India back in November 2024 at a starting price of Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom). Now in February 2025, the brand has increased the prices of the sedan by up to Rs 10,000 depending on the variant.

The Maruti Suzuki Dzire is available in four trim levels: LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus. Among these, the VXi AMT and the ZXi AMT variants have become more expensive by Rs 10,000. Along with this, the ZXi ZXi+ AMT, ZXi CNG MT, VXi CNG MT, VXi MT, and the LXi MT have received a price hike of Rs 5,000.

Re: 2024 Maruti Dzire Review

Took yet another TD of Dzire AGS today in NCR. Obviously car was almost brand new being a new launch. However I observed 2 things:

1. TPMS on the MID was showing tyre-wise pressure of approx 200. Now I'm used to a 33 PSI. Can anyone clarify what the unit is here? The car door-sil shows the PSI value!

2. Calibration of right indicator (on MID with the tick-tick sound) is much quicker than the left indicator. Expected better QC. Dealer- Maruti Arena, Dwarka Sector 13

Re: 2024 Maruti Dzire Review

Has anyone taken the delivery for ZXI+ AGS Bluish Black color?
Had booked the car about a month back, and still no updates. I keep getting offered different colors but not black.

Hi,

Mine is ZXI variant which doesn't have 360 degree camera and sunroof.

I am sorry that my ownership review is getting delayed as I have been extremely busy with work. The review will be up and running in a couple of days, I promise.

I have completed 2500 km and I would like to answer just one of your questions now.

The fuel efficiency has been terrific.

I have driven it like a saint as well as a devil
Despite that the Fuel efficiency wouldn't go below 16 kmpl (I almost cruised at its top speed and drove pedal to metal at other times)

Here is yesterday's data after driving it gentle (mostly 80-90 kmph with occasional 100 kmph while overtaking), 70:30 - Highway : City. 3 on board with AC full time. The car returned a terrific 23.6 kmpl Tankfull to Tankfull

Overall Fuel efficiency over 2500 km - 18.6 kmpl

Having owned Punch 1.2 NA MT for one year and clocked 10000 km on it, & having recorded fuel efficiency all through, the data shows that Dzire 1.2 MT drives 5 km more to a liter of petrol, given the same driving conditions. So, if fuel efficiency is a priority, the maruti is a much better option to choose than the tata.

Here is the data from my Punch

Re: 2024 Maruti Dzire Review

Suzuki has made the new Dzire available for commercial purchases as well. After making such bold statements earlier.

New Dzire needs to be available for taxi segment.

It's an apt car for taxi. Safe, comfortable, efficient and reliable. It's like the innova of the compact sedan segment.

Re: 2024 Maruti Dzire Review

Thanks a lot all BHPians for the detailed inputs on DZire 2024.

I took a test ride for 5 Kms, and then checked the vehicle in & out for more than 45 minutes at the dealership. And boy, I am delighted with this baby.

My Dilemma - I own a Feb 2020 Dzire Petrol (yes, just 5 years old), driven only 4,600 Kms (due to lockdown followed by my overseas trip), and it runs smooth as butter.
Last week, drove 860 Kms on Expressway, Highways, & interior roads of Maharashtra with family. It clocked 22.3 KMPL with Jio-BP Petrol, which otherwise is around 19 KMPL with HP/BP/IOC.

So I am thoroughly confused.
Should I exchange this 5 year old baby for the 2025 newborn, or should I continue with existing? Honestly, heart is infatuated with the new one, but mind (& economics) is still with 2020 one.
HELP please!

It makes no sense to change your 2020 Dzire with the 2025 version. It is a new design, and has the novelty factor running right now. A year down the lane, the roads are going to be full of these.

Maruti has already released the cab version based on the 2024 Dzire:

I don't think you can owe a 3+ kmpl difference only to petrol brand. Expressway runs give better fuel efficiency than day to day runs. Was that a factor as well? Please elaborate regarding driving cycles as well.

The 2020 Dzire is more than a capable vehicle, don't go for the 2025 Dzire just because it's the new car, your car hasn't even run much, and you should hold on to it for at least 3 or more years before considering about an upgrade.

You will start to find out the real mileage once you drive the car more, you will surely get mileage in the 20s on the highway moreover, the 2020 Dzire gets a smooth 4-cylinder over the 3-cylinder on the current one with 9 bhp more power and slightly more torque.

Moreover, dimension-wise, they are pretty much the same, so there isn't any difference In space either. Even features wise, apart from safety there isn't much to differentiate on the lower trims

So, I would recommend you keep your current car longer, get to know it better and you will surely appreciate how good a car it is.

Please keep your 5 year old. It will serve you well for the next 10 years.
