I am also interested in Kylaq as my first car grand i10 is now 2 years old which I had bought just to learn driving. Need a slightly bigger one with better safery standards and handling.
Will take a test ride around end of month.
Other cars in consideration are kushaq, xuv 3xo.
What's with the black bits on the red Kylaq? Is Skoda planning a Monte Carlo model by any chance? Looks quite striking though.

Kushaq can be considered if you're doing frequent highway trips. More length-> slightly better rear legroom and hence better comfort. Kylaq and XUV both are solid products in terms of safety and ride quality. However below factors need to be considered before making a decision.
What goes in Kylaq's favour:
1. Superior performance of the TSI motor
2. Driving dynamics
3. Larger boot space
What goes in XUV's favour:
1. Wider rear seat hence 3 passengers would be more comfortable.
2. 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine option. EV model already under testing.
3. Wider service network.
4. ADAS equipped variants
Test drive both vehicles then decide.

I think it's just because of the cosmetic modifications which are optional accessories on the Kylaq. You can find the accessories PDF on the official Skoda website for your clarification.

Kylaq review: Mixed opinion after checking the car in Hyderabad
I had the opportunity to inspect the car in person at a mall in Hyderabad. Firstly, the crowd management at the venue was subpar. There were over 25 Skoda representatives attempting to promote the car, leading to lengthy queues at both the driver and passenger side doors. Many individuals were trying to bypass the queue.
Stance/Size/Presence:
Initially, the car appears small. The height is notably lower than expected. After watching numerous YouTube videos, I perceived the car as being smaller compared to others in its segment. Using the Venue as a benchmark, the Kylaq seemed smaller. A friend who recently inspected the Kylaq also noted it appeared smaller than his Sonet. In summary, the car's height is less than advertised, not reaching the stated 1619mm.
Driver and Co-Passenger Seat:
The seating stance is good, and space is adequate. The driving position offers a clear view through the windshield, and legroom is sufficient although, at my height of 5'11", it felt slightly tight.
Rear Seat:
This aspect was disappointing, possibly due to my height and build. With the driver's seat adjusted to my position, the rear seat provided good comfort, supportive underthigh, but limited knee room. It offered slightly more knee room than the Sonet but less than the Venue – under 2 inches compared to the Venue's 2-3 inches. Additionally, the dark interiors contributed to a somewhat claustrophobic feeling, potentially exacerbated by the crowded environment.
Fit and Finish:
The car feels solid and sturdy, with high-quality construction despite the extensive use of hard plastic. The quality surpasses that of the Kushaq.
Conclusion:
Unfortunately, I could not thoroughly examine the car due to the disorganized crowd. I plan to revisit tomorrow for another look. Overall, I am impressed by the car's fit and finish; however, I am disappointed with its stance (height) and rear seat space, despite its long wheelbase for this segment. These dimensions align more closely with the Magnite segment. Having booked the car in December, these observations may prompt me to reconsider the Kylaq. I will certainly take a test drive after January 27, having already driven the Kushaq.

Can you please share how does the color look in person. I really love the VV Taigun CURCUMA YELLOW.
This one seems more on the greenish side.

Checked the car again today. Went early morning hence less crowd around the car.
- Checked the AC and it worked fine. Cooled the cabin in 2 mins (note-its Jabuary and not very cold in Hyd).
- Side plastic on the sides (near armrest, green shade) looks a bit scratch and will easily get a lot if scratches.
- Rear seat is decent for passengers upto 5ft 9in (driver seat adjusted to a person who is 5'11). Beyond that, its cramped.
- Foot rest has a strange hump at the bottom. Makes it difficult to push my feet further.
- Boot space is good overall.
Adding some pictures:
The Online Kylaq Owners Manual on the dimensions height and ground clearance are slightly different from what skoda officials have stated in public announcements?

Kylaq is India Specific model hence should be the same we are looking at.

This may be because of the roof rails. Public site mentions the height with the roof rail and owners manual, without.

And this 1579mm is reflected in the car as well. The car looks quite short as compared to even Venue!
So the media drive for the Kylaq is happening today in Goa. Drive reviews will come on 25th January, 11am
