In the wee hours of reveal of the Kylaq, there was a Lava Blue shade, which IMHO, is the best shade for this car.
I wonder why this shade was removed later on?

And someone from Skoda seems to be sleeping on the job, the steering wheel has a "Heated Steering" feature :P

I too had noticed it at the beginning and but this colour went missing later. I would love to get Kylaq with this colour which seems to be perfect match! Probably it may come up again once official bookings start? Not sure. :disappointed

I for one am quite excited by the product purely for the engine it offers! Looks like the second from top model would work well for most people. Do we know when we can expect reviews?

Agree! I think the reviews would be out on 2nd Dec itself when the bookings start.

Just saw an interesting tnc on skoda kylaq club page. 25% booking discount is not a discount, one has to pay it later when the vehicle is billed.

It's a marketing tactic.

First, they told that only the first 33,333 bookings will get the introductory price. The price announcement and booking commencement is on the same day. But there are no cars available to see or test drive in the showrooms. No drive reviews or comparison videos are available.

They just want you to book the car, cause the later cancellations will be lesser, or they need to publish in news on how much initial booking they got.

When the car will be available to the reviewers and in showrooms for the public, then very soon everyone will notice that it does not have the street presence, nor the power or the features.

Its lighter than 3XO and Nexon as well, and in Gagan Chaudhary video, he showed on how the panels were bending (like some cheaper cars). Car manufacturers should try to build stronger cars, not just the bare minimum to get the 5 stars. A lot of cost cutting is done in this.

The 3XO and Nexon are already good in ride and handling. Only slightly better driving dynamics won't really pull a lot of crowd.

The only thing it can compete on is the price. I just wish they followed the Thar Roxx approach and started booking only after proper reviews, comparisons and test drives were completed.

Skoda Kylaq full price list to be revealed on December 2.
Kylaq bookings to open on the same day and deliveries will start from January 27.

- Gets four trims, two gearbox options- Classic, Signature, Signature+ and Prestige.
- Kylaq will get an automatic gearbox option on all trims.

Link:

All versions getting the automatic gearbox would be a game changer. If we take the base version price 7.89 lacs + 1.3 lacs (for AT) + 1.75 lacs (for RTO + ins. , etc. - Considering Pune) + 0.5 lacs (price hike from introductory price) = 11.44 lacs. There are not many non AMT auto compact suv's at around that price.

Sonet IMT starts at 11.16 lacs and AT starts at 14.70 lacs

XUV 3xo AT starts at 12.21 lacs

Nexon AMT starts at 11.16 lacs and DCA 14.16 lacs

Breeza AT starts at 13.09 lacs.

At this price the Kylaq will be a no brainer. I doubt if the base trim will get AT, but if it does this will be a fantastic package.

I got the Kushaq Sportline 1.0 L AT as a replacement for my 13.5 year Vento diesel MT in Oct 2024. From the short driving experience that I have of this engine and gearbox combination (clocked 2500 km in less than 2 months), I can say its a phenomenal machine. If the above pricing comes out to be true, I might think of changing my wife's aging (2014) Celerio VX MT with Kylaq AT.

I am also looking to buy C3 turbo automatic, could you please share the details for the offer you got.

I bought the full option dual tone automatic variant (shine variant if I am not wrong).
Got it from EVM Citroen Kochi. The on road price for the specific model was 12.64 at that time and after discounts we got it for 11.75 (without extended warranty).

This is music to my ears. I'll be seriously considering Kylaq if this is true.

Most likely Signature, Signature+ and Prestige will get AT. Don't think Classic will get.

Most likely the Signature AT will be priced at 9.99 to start with. So onroad will be around 11.7 ish to begin with in Mumbai region as example.

Thats a good discount and makes it a good value for money.

The booking amount for the Kylaq Club members is going to apparently be 11k, which includes the 20% off (which is to be paid later). At least that's what I gathered from their Kylaq Club webcast today. Can someone confirm?

Below is the variant wise feature list. There could be 2-3 features which could be here and there but more or less, this is the near full list. AT is expected on all except base classic trim.
