They launched Curvv with so much excitement built around its design language, new engine, DCA in diesel etc. They took more time to launch ICE version after EV (ICE launch happened 3 weeks after EV). Still they can't provide a single car even for a TD. This isn't good for brand image. They could have paused with Curvv EV launch and took a quarter time to launch ICE version once it was fully ready. What's the point in announcing price for a product not ready yet. With 2025 approaching, they might revise the price, as is the norm, without even a single delivery at launch price probably.

Not sure how long it will take.
It is the same case in Hyderabad also. I have asked 2 separate dealerships where I went for Harrier test drive and both of them do not know when automatic Curvv will be available for test drive.

I have seen only one Curvv ICE on road in past 1 month in Hyderabad and it was a manual. I have seen YouTube video from 91Wheels/Bunny Punia where he test drove Curvv diesel DCA in Goa.
Tata has dropped the ball completely for Curvv by not providing proper updates on the delay and test drive car availability. It is now looking like rushed attempt only to beat Basalt launch.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

I had paid the booking amount for Revotron engine on 14th September. However no update on TD of Revotron engine. There is barely any video/post on the Revotron variant. No update on the vehicle booked even after a month. Have started to lose interest and also contemplating getting a refund.

There are multiple better option you can consider. It doesn't make sense to wait endlessly with no update from Tata Motors.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

Have booked Creative+s DCA on 10th sept. Until now there is no sign of delivery. I don't understand why Tata motors are deliberately delaying the delivery of DCA units. Even for the manual they have extended the waiting period. Some senior from a reputed dealership in North told me that due to excess inventory they have slowed down the production of CURVV.
Some social media posts claim that they are facing some issues with DCA again.

There's definitely some issue, otherwise why would a brand try to slowdown it's delivery to an extent that buyers start looking for other options?

I believe Tata hurried the launch without actually having the final product, just to showcase that it’s the first mass market brand to launch this Coupe Suv body style. Not even test drive vehicles are available!

Absolutely. With Citreon Basalt launch around the corner, TATA suddenly announced its plans to launch Curvv. There is no better explanation to this delay.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

Finally DCA models have started to reach dealerships. Got an update from dealership that they will only be able to deliver the vehicle by 15th nov. Approx 2 months from the date of booking.
Found a youtube video of creative dca.

There was a long wait for Nexon DCA also when it was launched in October 2023. I got my Nexon DCA after 3 months long wait

I think Curvv & Nexon must be having same DCA with Revotron engine. How has been your experience with it?

Well to be honest, the DCA is just okay. It is not smooth as 3XO and Sonet. And like most of the people, I also faced same problem like transmission malfunction message every time after 150-200km of continuous driving. Service center erased this message everytime with software update. After 5-6 visit to the service center in 8 months for the same issue, frustrated me forced them to open the gearbox and check the actual problem. They checked it with Tata person and touchwood there was no malfunction message in my recent 500km drive.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

I saw this review from Bunny Punia for Curvv Diesel DCA.

He has a smile plastered on his face while taking the Curvv and looked like he enjoyed the drive
Key times from video which I could collect
- 9:06 Average fuel economy on MID is 20.1 kmpl which is good
- 10:45 Taking Curvv through rumble strips
- 11:40 Taking Curvv through curvy roads

IDK, every car he reviews you feel like its the perfect car. Such auto journos actually don't help much, they should genuinely call out the negatives out loud rather than sugar coating it.

That's the only thing which scares me and i start doubting whether i am making the right decision going with DCA. Creta & seltos are far better in terms of reliability but the features & the design are the only attractive points for the CURVV otherwise i would have gone with the Koreans only. 🤞 Hope I don't have to go through all this horror after going with the DCA.

I have driven the CURVV diesel manual it was no fun due to very rough gear shifts although the clutch was soft but gear shift really spoilt the fun. Dca with diesel must be the best combo but it's reliability will only be proven in coming years.

I have the Nexon DCA and I also had to wait for almost 5 months to get my hands on the vehicle. I have driven the AMT, but DCA is smooth and I have not faced any issue related to gearbox or anything. My vehicle has been niggle free till date maybe because mine was 2024 manufactured. 23 produced DCA's had some issues which you could read on the Nexon thread. So I am assuming the DCA on Curvv should not be having any issues since it's the same gearbox being used unless TATA screws up badly.
