Hey abg, if possible, please let us know from where you purchased the Altroz, and where do you take it for service?

There are a huge number of unsatisfied Tata customers, and this info will really help many.

I wanted to discuss the same issue—the very low activity on this thread. I just checked the Thar Roxx thread, which is brimming with posts and has over 800,000 views. Meanwhile, despite the launch, there is next to no activity here, with a mere 65,000 views.

Tata has really botched things by not making the test drive vehicle available, despite the Curvv ICE being showcased over a month ago. The prices for the Curvv ICE were released on September 2nd, and today is the 7th of the following month.

I visited the Tata showroom in my city, and it’s still unclear when the ICE test drive vehicle will arrive. They’re offering an EV test ride instead. Mahindra, on the other hand, deserves appreciation for making the Thar 5DR test drives available even before deliveries began. Even before bookings started, test drive vehicles were ready, and there was a queue for test rides.

The approach to creating and utilizing hype requires intelligence, and Mahindra triumphs here. They didn’t hold back: reviews started dropping the day after the media drives. New reviews continued to be released each week to keep the hype alive. Even the prices were released simultaneously.

In contrast, the Tata Curvv's launch has been dragged out since July 29th. First, they held back on the prices for over a month after the EV reveal, then delayed media drives and reviews for two weeks after the September 2nd reveal. And yet, there are still no test drive units available. The festive season has begun with the onset of Navratri—what more is Tata waiting for to sell their product?

Re: Tata Curvv Review

Just spotted this test mule on the Mumbai-Pune highway today morning during my office commute. I kept following it for around 5 minutes. This had very squared door protrusions. I think Tata might be testing these for a CNG variant maybe. Or maybe a pre-production test unit.

Previous test mules had similar protusions on the sides. It’s possible it is a CNG variant or it might be the 1.5petrol under testing.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

Am beginning to believe the Curvv will be a sales dud or may not reach the sales number Tata forecasted. Reasons as follows :

1 - They choose "style" to be the differentiating factor. Interiors ( form, function & space) looks pretty much similar to the Nexon

2 - It'll lose the Engine specs war with the likes of Seltos or a Creta who are supposedly their competitors

3 - Once consumers figure the value proposition of this offering, they'll sure to have doubt thoughts on putting down their monies on this

4 - Multiple reviews have made me believe that the EV is the better version of the two. Now with dwindling EV sales in India, Tata might not have a smooth sailing in the next couple of years until they have a Hybrid in their portfolio

Slightly OT, but this is where Mahindra's R&D in engines is paying off big time. Just look at their various engine tuning for various vehicles. They have something in every other segment.

IMHO ATLAS platform disappointed me a lot. I was seriously considering Tata Curvv as my next car until the spec reveal. While Curvv kept ticking feature boxes during teaser phase, it felt short on few basics when specs were revealed. Despite coming with a all new platform it have the smallest wheelbase of 2560mm in the segment and this shows up in the rear legroom. And then it lacked telescopic steering even in the top variant.

Once the excitement around Curvv's unique design and feature settles down and typical TATA issues props up, sales number may not go up and remain static or can even go down in future.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

In my opinion its entirely a Nexon XL. I only wish if they could have liberated more legroom at the rear along with a little longer ingress area on the rear door for aged passengers convenience. That was only shortcoming of Nexon for me in an otherwise well rounded package. People could have lived with 400L of boot space if the lesser boot space would have translated into a more spacious rear seat experience.

One can go for it only for looks POV. Almost everything else, you get in the Nexon already, and even save money parked as emergency funds for future niggles.

I'd prefer Accomplished S. Otherwise if tighter on budget, Creative+S makes the most sense. Only thing I'd miss in it would be the 9 speaker system. Else Creative+S has got everything I would want in my car and more.

I was watching some video where someone (Guess it was Motorinc) were saying there's a difference between the two terms Platform and Architecture. Companies at times do it as a marketing gimmick 'of sorts' like MBps and Mbps. It could be an old platform but some newer software on top of it thrown to call it an all new architecture, and common folks use architecture and platform interchangeably.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

I've been following the delivery updates for the Curvv online and noticed a pattern. The majority of the deliveries, if not all, are for the 1.2 Revotron manual and 1.5 diesel manual models. There don't seem to be any reviews from owners of the DCA (petrol/diesel) or the 1.2 TGDI version.

I've also come across several comments on Tata's YouTube channel, where people are questioning the lack of updates regarding their booked cars with either the DCA or the new engine.

One member pointed out that there's no ARAI rating for the Curvv 1.2 Tgdi yet ( one of the reasons for the delay). I'm curious: could there be another reason (like tuning or adjustments) for the delayed deliveries? I highlighted previously even test drive vehicles for the new engine haven't arrived at the dealerships yet.

TATA Curvv has earned 5-Star Safety Ratings in both Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and Child Occupant Protection (COP) in the latest Bharat NCAP crash tests.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

Much expected results. Great job Tata as always.

But the test drive cars for ICE are still unavailable. Tata somehow manages to spoil it one way or the other.

Yesterday Basalt, today Curvv, I am hoping we will see Grand Vitara BNCAP results soon too.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

5 star is expected for a Tata car. We have serious problem if a Tata car score 3 star or less! I checked this car few days back and really liked it. Rear headroom is a problem for tall passengers though.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

Tata has always had their cars tested for safety ratings and they score well in them too. They consistently provide safe cars to people.

Well Done Tata!!

If Tata can improve the showroom and service experience for customers, they would surely achieve more sales.

Re: Tata Curvv Review

Been quite some time the CURVV has been launched. Yet to see a single car on the roads of Calcutta.
On the other hand, in the last two days I spotted 3 Thar Roxx's (all black colour)

"Jo dikhta hain, wohi beekta hain", (What you see, sells), goes the old adage! Looks like TML is yet to fix their despatch pipeline.

Yes it is really disappointing. My SA tells me that they have no update regarding the DCA variants. No test drive vehicles as yet.

Not sure how long it will take.
