My suggestion, pls don’t opt for 3 year OD. It’s not mandated by law, so why to pay upfront for a vehicle that runs and parks on roadside? You can calculate NCB and pay up after one year if you will have to.

Yes, they can and I've seen this. You might not have the full functionality, so " Blind View Monitor" and stuff won't work.

I still frequently see these camouflaged. Anybody know why?

Hey, I just checked with Koncept Mahindra in Noida and they have said that it is not possible and they cannot do it. Checked with Classic Noida as well and they had the same thing to say :(

Your Roxx looks fantastic with the alloys and tyres. While you did mention that you used 17 inch alloys and no spacers in a previous post, will you be able to elaborate on the tyre brand and profile used?

Did you see any improvement or degradation in ride quality due to these changes?
Any tyre rubbing the insides type of issues?

Give it a few days, they'll come around. I saw the video of the install, too.

Totally agreed. Those 17" look just perfect. Assuming that these are 275/65 R17 (are they?), the availability and cost should be a relief too.

+1. Would love to hear about your experience, Manveet. Did you get a chance to check the impact on weight, on-road handling and fuel efficiency when compared to the stock wheels and tyres?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Few days ago, I sent an enquiry regarding the new update about the keyless entry request sensor. Since my estimated delivery is in June 2025, I thought it would be a good time to check on the update.

Today, I received a call from Mahindra customer care, and they informed me that the request sensor will only be provided to customers who book the car in 2025. For bookings made before 2025 even if the delivery is scheduled in 2025 car will be delivered without the request sensor.

Seriously?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Need an advice from the fellow BHPians. I got my Thar ROXX registered in Feb 25 from India Garage Mysore. Dealer was okay with me buying insurance from outside, which I did. The insurance (3+1) is from Royal Sundaram. Before registration, I gave the insurance copy and paid the road tax amount to the dealer and got my registration number allotted in a week.

So far so good. But since then 2 months have passed and I have not received my physical RC. On following up with the dealer, they informed that my insurance details have not been uploaded in the Vahan portal. I checked with the insurance company customer care and they confirmed through email that it has been updated along with my car registration number, however the dealer is adamant and saying it has not been updated and hence RTO will not issue RC card.

Has anyone faced such issue in past? What could be the cause and the way to solve this problem. Thanking all in advance for advice.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

I think Mahindra should release an update to increase the Torque numbers to 400NM at least for the 4x4 automatic cars. It will make it very tractable and frugal to get out of tricky situations without any heavy acceleration and digging in the ground.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

The rear wiper arm broke due to my carelessness while cleaning. Replacement from M&M (wiper arm+blade) costed 608/- plus additional 250/- labor. (Initially they agreed to give the part, as with a size 10 spanner its an easy 1 minute replacement, but later Service Center mentioned they cannot handover the part, and will fit it). Job card opened and work completed in 60mts.

M&M service center folks were very accommodative, as I just walked in without any booking.

But why can’t they give the part ? Should have asked in written form that they can’t supply parts.
They doing a 2 mins running repair is not any favour. Even the notorious VW/Skoda ASS does it for us
They should have just get it done without any Service cost.

Was in no mood for a debate as the M&M inventory management system was snail slow that day, waited in the customer lounge and caught up on some office work.

This post will trigger mass cancellations (and rebookings) I think. Too bad it came a few days late for me.
