Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Got the PDI of the car done. Variant MX5 Petrol A/T black. Delivery hopefully on Ram Navmi. I think mine will come with the mocha grey interior. Looks more beige that grey. White looked more premium though.

Appalled by the way dealerships keep the cars.

Even the Ambassador is not spared from delivery issues - 8:59 in the video he points to a scratch! Good video though - thanks for sharing!

Should we go for the engine protection in the insurance if it has already been added from the showroom?

I don't understand what you mean here, but regardless, if you are buying insurance from the dealership, check that they have added all necessary add-ons, including engine protection. When purchasing from outside, add all the required add-ons to your policy too.

I would say your insurance is a bit too expensive from this quote, the dealership is easily making at least 30k to 40k off of you.

Please suggest which add-ons to add and which should not.

Please refer to this post for the addons I recommend if you are getting your insurance yourself and not the inflated dealership insurance (Dealership insurance should include these considering the huge premium and amount they pocket):

What the dealership is quoted for a comprehensive one year is 89,947/-. Here TATA AIG's 3 + 3y is given 89,897/- with all the required add-ons what you have mentioned above like Zero Depreciation, Emergency transport and hotel expenses, Engine Protector, Consumables, Key & Lock Replacement, return to invoice, and tire protector. And thanks so much for helping me out here.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Just saw this new AX7L Diesel Manual video:

The passenger sliding arm rest seems to be standard now. Aero wipers and request sensors are absent.

Is passenger sliding arm rest being provided on cars with manual hand brake also or only the ones with automatic brake ?
Manual brake lever might get obstructed by that arm rest, hence the question.

All vehicles equipped with DPF systems will have this problem. If it goes above certain limits during regeneration, is when one should get worried. Not sure in these 2 cases if it exceeded the safe limit.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

An article on NDTV Auto says that all three features, i.e. the keyless entry, aero wipers and the sliding armrest have been added onto the 2025 model.

Source

I just did PDI for my Thar Roxx today. AX7L 4WD AT Battleship Grey with Mocha interiors. There is no keyless entry, and it looks like it is custom-made for John. The Aero wipers and sliding armrest were there, though.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Hi folks. A question for those who are already using the Roxx.
Have you considered using a powered bolt opener for the tyres in case of a puncture? The nineteen inch tyres will need some effort to rotate otherwise.

Also, how good is the jack which Mahindra has provided? It’s a heavy car and maybe an inflatable jack would be more appropriate.

TIA.
