Nothing on mine! Still shows booked. My timeline started 19th Dec.

Also, when I checked the Mahindra4U app (not the website), my name in the booking ID has changed to wrong spelling! and then my email address shows a completely new name! Thankfully the phone number is still the same. This is probably the Dealer putting in information manually against each booking.

I had completed my booking by 11.01.13 and the confirmation was generated before 11:01:20. Even my booking ID is only an early 3 digit number! Just not cool! they couldn't deliver 5-10k cars in 3 months? The year-end break would have been good to explore the car. After this, I feel I don't need the car for another 6 months till rains hit! And then it'll be time for Harrier EV, which is expected to have AWD! And then Scorpio will eventually catch up on all the tech too.

Check with your dealer on the invoicing. My delivery schedule starts tomorrow and I am getting my car tomorrow yet there is no change in the status online.
The system seems to be broken, but i am assuming your dealer should have some visibility or talk to booking support for an update.

Congratulations!

I think 4x4s are really delayed. The dealer SA has been responsive but clueless! In fact I got a call from the SA yesterday! Inquiring if I received any 'direct' communication of any vehicle being allocated to me from M&M or the dealership CRM email address, when I told him 'no such communication', he reconfirmed and then said, he'll check and has no information either (and didn't come back again). That call actually casted more doubt than comfort, but lets see.

My SA was also clearly clueless on the process, till the time I informed him about the email I received from the CRM team of the dealership. In fact he was unsure of the ETA of the vehicle even after it was invoiced from the plant.
It might be a good idea to write to the dealership CRM team or you may write to the folks in mahindra booking support team. I will DM you the detail of the guy I was dealing with for my refunds (he is super responsive) might be able to solve the mystery for you.

Just a question for MX3 owners, does your wireless car charger work?
Mine hasn't been working from Day 1 and now they are saying that is does not come in MX3 whereas the brochure clearly mentions Wireless Charger.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

A curious query to the auto-enthusiasts and experienced folks here. Which one has the better odds of happening in 2025/2026:

1. Mahindra launching Thar roxx in petrol 4 x 4

2. Mahindra launching Thar roxx in convertible soft top (like 3D Thar)

3. Mahindra launching the Facelift of 3D Thar

Any rumors or hint on the same you might want to share, please do. Essentially, I want a petrol convertible 4 x 4 and I have absolutely no problem in waiting for even a year or two, but not sure if it even makes sense to wait. Are there any technical limitations that are preventing from any of the above, or is just a poor product planning by Mahindra?

Pls get it checked. It’s very much included in MX3. Mine works flawlessly

Wireless Charger works fine in my MX3.

If you can wait you should. 3D Thar will complete 5yrs next in 2025 and it's absolutely reasonable to expect that Mahindra will launch an upgrade/face-lift.

Mahindra is running their factories in full capacity and most of the cars have weeks if not months of waiting. Besides they also have EV line they're working on. There is absolutely no incentive for Mahindra to launch 5 Models in one year and they are focusing on steady consistent growth, especially when they're products are already in high demand.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

My Thar roxx has completed 5000 kms till now. So far extremely happy with the purchase. I would've preferred Zip mode tuning from the XUV700, as it engages 6th gear at 87-88 km/h speed, whereas the Thar Roxx engages 6th gear at 93-95 km/h and is more tuned towards performance. I used to get 14-15 easily in the XUV700 on highways, but in the Thar, the maximum I could extract is 12-13 with sedate driving. Pictures speaks regarding seats condition after driving for 50 days. But even dark colour seats will attract dust but it’s just not visible. So this reminds you to clean the front seat and arm rest frequently and stay with less dust and germ free.

And I would've preferred the Be 6 over this, as it has a lifetime warranty, and my usage is 3k kms per month, which translates to ~300 litres of diesel. Instead of the diesel amount, I can easily pay EMI for the car. The only concern is reliability and safety in EVs, especially from a new vehicle.
Maybe we will buy this as part of the replacement of the KIA Sonet D AT, which has driven 60k kms till now and gives the best fuel efficiency out of all the other cars in our family. Just waiting for the price reveal of 79KW battery pack prices.

Yes, these things wouldn't happen without the support of the Mahindra ASM and something I suspected long back and also mentioned in the forum at that time. I am more than sure mine was flipped to someone else too. Knowing how shady some of these sales folks are, not surprised anymore.
As for the customer care, they start ignoring your emails and social media posts after a period of time, and also start deleting the comments you post, esp on instagram.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Landmark has opened 2 showrooms in Hyderabad - Tellapur and Hayathnagar.

I went to their Tellapur showroom last month. The experience was very different compared to other established Mahindra dealerships and showrooms in Hyderabad.

Showroom experience:
- The showroom is big and gets ample sunlight as the showroom is located on major road.
- The salesperson was enthusiastic, and I got the test drive cars that I was looking for. The test drive cars are new with few kms on them so far.
- They have Thar Roxx AX7L Petrol AT and Thar Roxx AX7L RWD Diesel MT available for test drives.
- The showroom has XUV 3XO, XUV 400, XUV 700, Thar Roxx, Scorpio-N on display. This gave me an opportunity and ample time to experience Scorpio-N and Thar Roxx interiors in the same visit. This was not possible in other showrooms. The brown leatherette interiors of Scorpio-N feel better than white leatherette interiors of Thar Roxx. The cabin of Scorpio-N felt premium as compared to Thar Roxx.

I would recommend Landmark Mahindra, Tellapur for better sales and test drive experience to people who want to test drive Mahindra cars and look at all offerings in-person in Hyderabad.

Summary of my experience with Thar Roxx Diesel MT:
- Gear throws are not notchy and relatively short.
- Clutch is not hard, but clutch travel is more (just like old Mahindra and Tata BOF manuals). I am okay with longer clutch travel as long as the clutch is light and operable without too much force.
- NVH is good and very less engine noise heard in inside the cabin.
- The suspension of Thar Roxx felt better on same bad roads as compared to Scorpio-N. XUV700 suspension felt best out of 3 cars - Scorpio-N, Thar Roxx and XUV700.
- EPB with auto hold is a boon with manual transmission. The auto hold release felt better as compared to XUV700. There is slight jerk when the car is stationary, and you press accelerator to move the car in XUV700. The auto hold release did not feel as jerky as the one in XUV700. I will have to do another back to back test of XUV700 and Thar Roxx to confirm this behavior.
