I can't do anything about Ex Showroom, TCS, Registration, and Extended Warranty.
As i have also booked the same variant MX3 PAT from Koncept. Please keep sharing the updates regarding delivery experience/challenges and aftermarket accessories installation/pics/price. Will definitely help people like me

By the way, my delivery timeline is Jan/Feb 2025 and i am looking to get 18' alloys, mud flaps, dual laser fog lamps, 7d mats, steering wheel cover, rain wiser, X shaped rear lights from karol bagh.

Not sure whether i should go ahead with EW or not as with so much after market work, Mahindra may not provide the EW cover

I am only planning to get mudflaps and bottom door cladding(see attached photo). There is an option for fender and door cladding but itl ruin the look. 7D mats are too expensive at 8K and aftermarket ones are priced at 4K. Other than these, Ecosport like rear parcel tray is a good option but at 15K it's a little too expensive so I'll buy that later or will get an aftermarket one.

I might just get the steel rims painted or will go with 3D Thar alloys on the Roxx. They cost around 25K for 4 aftermarket.

I am also planning to get a PPF coating but I haven't decided if itl be a glossy, matte, or black. Few places in Wazirabad have quoted 50K for this.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

A few queries:

Has anyone got any delivery timeline for the Mocha Brown interior top variants?

Are the 3D alloys a direct fit to the 5D?

Are home test drives being freely allowed yet?

The stock tyre profile of the 2D Thar and the lower variants of the Roxx that come with 18 inchers are the same and hence the stock alloy of 2D Thar is a direct fit to the Roxx. In my opinion, it is an underrated alloy, but, I like the simplistic looks and believe it will look nice on the Roxx.

Does anyone know the cost of the Mahindra OEM fog lamps? Is this part shared between the 2D Thar and the Roxx or are they different?

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Today, I saw the first Roxx on the road. It was not a test vehicle. Took some snap from my dashcam.

Exactly the same feeling I have regarding my booking. Been the first few to book, havent received notifications, dealer and Mahindra don't respond. Tried all options including writing to a lady who is the Customer Relations Head, even filed a complaint on customer forum, absolutely zilch response.

Recently saw a post about a 10 day old Thar being put up on sale at 3 lakh premium. Hence to believe the dealer wouldn't do anything like that to make quick money is not a stretch. These dealer people along with the sales folks from Mahindra are not very high on ethics either.

I was also considering Roxx and did some research on alloys few weeks back. From what I remember, the PCDs of Thar 3D and Roxx are different. Do not buy 3D alloys without checking the fit. If they fit, they are a great option.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

A weird quirk I observed when test driving the ROXX is the convace ORVMs which resulted in a few misjudgments. Has anyone else faced the same issue? I generally prefer ORVMS to the 360 camera but in the case of ROXX, had to trust the camera more.

I am sorry but what is PCD?

I checked the brochure and both have 255/65 R18s.
3D AX variants come with R16 and some variants of 5D Thar comes with R19s but the 18 inchers have the same profile.

Thar 2023 (3D): Bolt Pattern (PCD): 5x114.3
Bolt Pattern PCD for the new Mahindra Thar Roxx alloy wheels is 5x139.7 mm

Note that the wheel size (18-inch or 19-inch) does not affect the PCD. The PCD remains the same for both sizes.

PCD is acronym for Pitch Circle Diameter, the diameter of the circle that goes through the center of all the bolt holes on a wheel rim/alloy.

Could you share the source for this information?

What is your source for the PCD of Roxx Alloy? When I enquired with an experienced Tyre / Alloy dealer for the possibility of replacing the MX3 steel rims with the alloys of the 3D Thar, he said its fully compatible with the PCD's being the same.

Thanks. This is great to know. In this case, how safe is it to use an adapter. I am not getting a 4x4 and won't use it for proper offroading.

PCD of Thar is 114 and that of ScorpioN and XUV700 is 139. It's possible that for ROXX is 139 as well.

Re: Mahindra Thar Roxx Review

Friends,
Today I received the vehicle allocation notification from the dealer, where they wanted me to confirm my willingness to get the car.
Mine is MX3 P AT Black color.
ETA was conveyed by Mahindra as Nov10 to Dec10.
Can someone suggest me the good enough insurance premium for this variant ?

Thanks

If that's the case, why won't M&M send a message to the customer directly that a vehicle has been allocated to you. Even when customer with very early booking IDs (who haven't got any delivery date) are following up, M&M seems to be not giving good answers (at least from the discussions on the forum).

While the dealer also did confirm that there is this customer-vehicle mapping, some window seems to have been left open. AX7L 4x4 is in super shortage and it'll be interesting to see how the deliveries play out.

I already saw a AX7L 4x4 completely ripped out in Gurgaon, sector 67 market last weekend, so clearly some 'not so ordinary' people may have taken delivery.

Just to add one piece of correlation here. This booking ID AND payment ID does not seem to suggest delivery before December, probably only January. Just based on numbers I've seen here. Thought you should know that, and wait out.

Agree that the variant change is strange.
