Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Has anybody got an extended warranty for their car? What was the amount charged for it? Please let me know if it is only for the 4th or 4th and 5th years.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Booked the 3XO petrol manual at launch for my parents.

The experience has been terrible dealing with Mahindra. Dealership has still not committed on a delivery date and keeps saying the company is only sending diesels to them. I don't believe it's true as its nearly 5 months.

Mahindra customer care also has not taken any action, and has stopped replying to my emails from the last couple of weeks as well.

Honestly, I am pretty fed up , I am on the verge on cancelling the booking and going with some other car.

My dad really likes the 3XO and that's the only reason I have not cancelled yet.

BHPians, any suggestions on how the escalate with Mahindra for a last ditch attempt to get the car?

I too booked AX7 Diesel MT at launch in May. My dealer tells that petrol to diesel are manufactured at 80:20 ratio, thats why diesel vehicles are less

Mahindra Customer care is not responding much except asking us to check with Dealer.

I have booked at 3 dealers in Chennai. All are in same state. I have cancelled at AMPL, due to their arrogant response.

One trick my friend tried is:
1. He went to dealer and asked what vehicles are available.
2. He picked one from the shared list.
3. Dealer didn't have choice except to honour his request.
4. He got the vehicle in 6 days.

If you are not very keen about colour or variant (like me ), you can try above way with dealer you booked or at new place as well.

Thanks & credits to my colleague who was kind enough to write a program and convert the web manual to PDF including pictures. Below is a copy of it uploaded to Google drive:

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

What is the cancellation charge for the booking? I don't remember seeing it mentioned anywhere, but Sireesh Auto in Bengaluru tells me there is no cancellation charge till Dec 2024. This would be for a new)fresh booking, not an old one.

Is that right? I don't trust Salesmen at their word, so I wanted to check with others here.

Good effort indeed.

May you please ask your colleague to do one more favour for Thar Roxx, "The latest talk in the town".

Link of web version of owner's manual of Thar Roxx, has been recently uploaded.

I bought it from the service center when I went in for my first service. It costs ₹15k for a year's extension and ₹22.5k for a two-year extended warranty. The mileage cap is also 1,50,000 km. Based on the other reply to this post, it appears to cost the same, irrespective of the variant/engine.

did you check the terms and conditions of the shield warranty?
I also want to buy this and hence today was going through the terms and conditions of the warranty.

Point 2.8 3) struck me.
The intervals between scheduled services must not exceed stipulated mileage more than 1000 km

Isn't this absurd? Which car gets serviced every 1000kms?

Could not be more happy to see that Mahindra today has placed such a high level of importance to after sales and service experience and is truly taking care of its customers very well.
Hi. Can you please share how the issue regarding the rattle behind the touchscreen was fixed? I am facing the same rattle noise. But I have not yet asked the technicians to check. I have a fear they will open up the dashboard to only increase the rattles.

The operative phrase here is "stipulated mileage". I interpret this as follows: a 2000 km service must be done within 3000 km, 10,000 km service within 11,000 km and so on.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Stalled post car wash

MX2 Pro Petrol AT, odo around 1100km & 20 days since delivery.

I took the car for a maiden foam wash and while returning, a few kms on from the wash shop I stopped at the red light.

The engine switched off and I pressed the idle engine shut button to turn that off. Normally by doing this the car starts. But this time, it totally stalled. The brake pedal tightened and car shut off completely and all the warning lights appeared on the dash including engine light, battery light and brake light. I removed the key put it back on and tried restarting but it didn't work.

I turned on the hazard lights, exited the vehicle and initiated the RSA call. Simultaneously I locked it using remote and then unlocked it and tried to start again. Thankfully the vehicle started and I disconnected the call and drove it back home and parked.

Now I'm out of station for a while and the car is back at home in the parking lot.

While I'm glad that it started I'm super concerned about why it happened? If this is not addressed then I'd always be worried of a potential reoccurance .

I'm looking forward to your inputs and suggestions to address this issue properly. Thanks.

I experienced a similar issue with my MX3 Pro Automatic recently. I've noticed the battery light coming on randomly while driving, but it usually clears itself. The other day, I was stopped at a crossing near my apartment, and the car's engine turned off because the Auto Start/Stop feature was active. Normally, it restarts when I take my foot off the brake, but this time nothing happened. I also saw various warning lights when I turned the car off and tried to start it again. After waiting a minute and trying once more, it did start, and I haven't had any issues since. I'm unsure whether I should visit the service center to explain the problem.

I didnt face such issue before my first service, currently have driven the vehicles close to 3000+ kms.

We booked it because we couldn't find any better option. We needed a diesel vehicle due to our high daily running, which will mostly be highway driving. We also wanted a compact, safe car since this will be the only car in our garage, used for both city commutes and highway runs.
We didn't want to compromise on safety (like with the Kia Sonet) and weren't comfortable with the Tata Nexon after hearing numerous horror stories about the product and after-sales service. So, the 3XO seemed like the best option.

According to BHPian srivatchsan, who had an opportunity to test drive the 3XO Diesel Automatic, the AMT performance is acceptable for highway but not so good for city driving. Since our usage will mostly be on highways, we hope it will work for us.

I will keep you posted if I get a chance to TD it before delivery or any reliable mileage run video on YouTube

Hello,

I hope this is the right place to ask. I bought the XUV 3OO AX5 Diesel AMT in June 2024, replacing my 10-year-old i20 (Diesel). I was really impressed by the torque and power of the 3XO, especially during the first two months. I could feel a strong surge of power when pushing the throttle in 2nd and 3rd gears, especially once it crossed 2000 rpm.

However, in the second month, I had to perform a regeneration (regen), and when I contacted the service center, they mentioned it was likely due to excessive city driving. I managed to do the parked regen without any issues, so I was still satisfied. But when I had to perform another regen in the third month, things changed slightly. Since the second regen, I've noticed a loss of power. Although the car still reaches speed, I now have to push the throttle much harder than before, and the performance feels somewhat sluggish.

I took the car to the service center after a week of driving, explained the situation, and the technician advised me to take it on a long, straight drive, maintaining a speed of 70 km/h for about 30 minutes, with the RPM above 2000. They mentioned that even after a parked regen, sometimes the soot doesn’t burn off completely, and there wasn’t much they could do at the service station.

I followed their advice and took the car for a long drive over the weekend, but to my disappointment, I’m still not consistently getting that surge of power when I push the throttle. Occasionally, the power rush comes back, but it’s not consistent. I’m starting to wonder if I need to adjust my driving style. I’ve read articles and watched videos on driving turbo diesel vehicles, but I never had this issue with my i20 Elite Diesel.

I’m hoping to get some expert opinions from this forum. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
