Initially, when bought, MID display was in the range of 9-11. It started improving after first 1200-1300 kms and has improved to the data below.

MID displayed now is between 12-14. Drops to 11.6-11.8 when crossing marathalli or Panathur between 7:30 to 8 am. Climbs back to 12 on my way back.

Tank to Tank till auto-cut was 0.6 less than the MID display when measured together around 3000 kms mark.

AX5-AT.
3470 kms total.
Bought in May-2024. Delivery on 9th June 2024.

AX5L AT TGDI owner here. In Bangalore city I get 9-10 kmpl and in the highways I get 13-14 kmpl. I have driven nearly 7000 km and about 90% of it is over highways. Drive mode is always Zap and the speed was around 100 kmph on the highway. AC is always on and the set temperature is 23 degrees C.

If you are a bit more careful you could probably get 15 kmpl or better on the highway (Zip mode, speed around 90 kmph, more sedate driving and such). I did get over 15 kmpl over one such run.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

I’ve booked the Mahindra XUV 3XO AT AX5L Nebula Blue for intracity use mainly to replace my aging Renault Kwid (~₹16.5L OTR) but am now reconsidering my decision since I already own a previous-gen Honda City MT.

• Bought the City primarily for yearly trips, but it has seen low usage over ~5 years (~20k kms)
• I fear the ADAS and AT combo might render the City redundant
• Primary reason why I'm getting the 3XO is because of the headroom, space and the ground clearance. Roads here range from bad to decent, with occasional sewer pits.

Should I start driving the City for daily use or go ahead with the 3XO? or shall I downgrade to AX5?
Would love to hear your insights!

I am very very partial to city. In fact, I am so partial to it, that when city is in discussion, all of my objectivity goes out of window.

It's my favourite car by far and I have been a fan ever since I started learning and reading about cars. Although, I have never driven one for more than 10kms.
That being said, 3XO is smaller, taller, powerful and I have always felt that mahindra cars drive a wee bit better than others over bad roads. They are a bit more forgiving relative to other manufacturers to road conditions.

City is a great long trip car. Ample boot, comfortable seats, good reliable and powerful engine. Rear legroom is ample, cabin is well equipped, and I actually like the way honda does its variants. Even the base Honda is usually very well equipped, with the higher trims, just improving upon perfection.

Coming to what suits you, if you are looking for a typical city car, 3XO will have a higher running cost as its not very good at the whole mileage thing.
But as you said, it will be used mostly on highways between cities, and there it will be very good. The engine never runs out of power, there is always a bit more. The car feels well planted and low height means its planted at higher speeds as well.

I would probably start using City more if I were in your shoes. But, for intracity travel, 3X0 would be perfect.

Sorry for the typo. I wanted to say that the 3XO will be used mainly in the city as a daily driver (not between cities)
For the mileage part, I tried out Maruti Suzuki Fronx but the headroom at the back isn't sufficient for a 6 feet rider so I didn't go for it.

I'm now wondering whether to cancel or downgrade my booking to AX5 and drop ADAS

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hello Friends, I am in the middle of finalizing a car around 15L on road price. So far
choices are Syros HTK+ or 3XO AX5L variants. Need your suggestion based on the following criteria

Vehicle suitable for relaxed driving style.
60-40 Highway drive for 4 Adults and 2 Kids
Service reach and reliability (Post sales support)
Safety - 3XO ahead here.

No worries. I still think Brezza is a better city car. It might be dated, old, and lacking few bells and whistles but it ticks all the boxes well as far as city driving is concerned.

I personally went with the one without ADAS because I think India is not ready for ADAS yet. And only in cities, it totally becomes a moot point.

From a reliability, space and practicality, service standpoint, the Syros is the better choice, it is suited for relaxed driving too, Otherwise when considering features, power, performance and safety, the XUV 3XO is a better buy.

Now with your preferences for relaxed driving (so performance isn't a must), drive pattern and people on board, and need for good service reach and reliability (Kia's service has been great so far and is known for good after-sales too), the Syros makes the cut, but as far as safety goes, the XUV 3XO is definitely the better option

So to conclude, if Safety is of utmost priority and a powerful car with good performance and features is good to have, the XUV 3XO is the better choice, do check out the dealership nearby and see whether they have good after-sales, as generally Mahindras after-sales support is a hit or a miss, if that's sorted as well, then the Mahindra may be considered, else from an overall standpoint, besides the questionable safety the Syros is the better buy.

Syros HTK+ is better when compared with 3XO AX5. But when you compare it with AX5L, it may not be that great. AX5L gives you 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS, premium interiors that justify the 1.25-1.5L price increase IMO.

Of course if you don't want ADAS (more useful on highways) and 360 camera, then Syros HTK+ makes sense.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Got my vehicle 3XO M2Pro delivered on 10th Feb 2025. Have completed around 500 kms till now and haven't seen any major issues. Can feel the gear from neutral to 1st little hard when compared to shifting to the other gears.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

After test driving Sonet HTK IMT, Astor Sprint, Brezza Vxi, I am completely in love with the 3XO.

Hence planning to buy 3X0, which will be a replacement to my diesel Tigor(2017). With my current budget I am planning for MX2 pro petrol manual variant.

Can current petrol mpfi owners please let know about fuel efficiency in city? My daily travel is 35-50 km, and approximately 900-1300 km monthly.
Took a test drive of diesel as well as petrol and loved both of them, due to budget constraints I am planning to buy petrol, but if the FE is very low i.e. 8-10 kmpl I may have to opt for diesel.
I am a very sedate driver and hence can extract good fuel efficiency, your advice will be very helpful.

Thanks.

^ My friend's 3XO Petrol MT returns an average fuel efficiency of 10 kmpl in city and 15 kmpl on highway. He's a balanced driver, not very sedate, not every enthusiastic.

Even I am experiencing the same. The vehicle is around 13 days old and have completed approx. 700+ kms. I believe that the efficiency may further increase after the 1st service.

I asked this exact Q to the SA during the first service & he said this with a big smile, "there will be no change after the service, people say that but it will not happen, it all depends upon how you drive the car. With the traffic in Bengaluru, especially in & around Whitefield, do not expect anything from what you are already getting."

The mileage I am getting for the initial 2.5k km, the range is 7.5 to 9.5 kmpl for my AX5L AT Petrol.
