Now I am getting the AX7L and wanted to know few things -

1.) Seats are white / cream color what is the best way to keep them clean.

2.) Is there a possibility to revert back to cloth seats as they will be comfortable in sweaty conditions. I personally like cloth seats.

4.) The Mahindra accessory Catalog has under chassis coating for Rs. 4,500/- and Ceramic coating for Rs. 28,500/- is that any worth. I am in 2 minds. Also me think that under chassis coating is not required in a city like Bangalore.
Extended Warranty:

With so many things being new in 3XO, and loaded with new electronics, it is better to go for extended warranty. You may refer this article:
https://www.team-bhp.com/advice/exte...ties-yes-or-no

RSA:

RSA is not free for 3XO. You have to buy at the time of delivery or after delivery on the Mahindra app or withyouhamesha.com website or from the service center.

Maintenance of white leatherette in AX7L:

If you are in a mood to spend 10K+ additional amount, get CarPro CQuartz Leather coating for leather seats. I got CarPro ceramic coating done, but did not choose the leather coating due to the cost.

If you want tips for maintenance, you may post a query on this thread for Anish (AJ56) to respond:
https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/techn...guide-792.html (A superb Car cleaning, polishing & detailing guide)

For routine maintenance of white leatherette seats:

Keep a separate microfibre cloth for leather seats always in the vehicle. Keep a cordless car vaccuum in the car. Wipe of any stain immediately at the end of the trip with little damp microfibre, or by spraying a little leatherette shampoo onto the microfibre cloth. I bought CarPro Skincare kit from the detailing shop for this purpose. Yet to use it for the first time.

I don't endorse any product including CarPro. Just that I got the detailing done by Ultimate Detailerz in Bangalore who is a CarPro dealer. So, I bought couple of CarPro products.

Changing leatherette to cloth seats:

They are available in the accessory catalogue. I have attached the catalogue here. This is the August 2024 version (still latest as on Nov 1st). If anyone has an updated one, please post.

Since the seat covers are customized for the air bag functionality, you must purchase them from Mahindra itself, else the air bags functionality is not guaranteed.

You may change the seat covers after spending some time with them to see if you get to start liking the white leatherette ones.

Ceramic Coating or not? At the dealer or outside?

Check the discussion with the title: "The Ceramic Coating Thread" in this forum. Good information. I went for the Ceramic Coating, but not with the Mahindra dealer PPS Mahindra Kanakapura Road, Bangalore. I got it done with Ultimate Detailerz, C V Raman Nagar, based on the recommendations in this thread. They did a fantastic job. The reason why I didn't opt to get the Ceramic Coating done with the Mahindra dealer:

1. The price was for a single layer coat on the paints
2. The dealer did not have information of the brand of ceramic coat. She only said 'Mahindra approved coat'. It could be any coat from a subcontractor. So, I said no.
3. The coating was to be done at the detailing shop in the stockyard, couple of days before delivery. I thought if this is the case, then the showroom boys will again wipe it before the delivery. I would not want any rough handling of the expensive coat before the delivery itself.

Please note that coat will protect the paint from the effect of water, dust, chemicals, bird poop etc. but you still will have to clean it periodically with proper procedure without leaving the contaminants linger for days. You have to use the contactless washing or the multi-mitt method on the car with or without the ceramic coat. Else, the swirl marks on the paint or on the coat are guaranteed, and the coat too will wear away within a year with improper washing.

I got the ceramic coating done on the front windshield too (it was part of the package). Helps the water break into droplets and roll away easily making it easier in the rain. But the coating on glass has much shorter lifespan than the coat on the paint.

How much did they charge you for the coating ? Do you have a price catalogue from them by any chance which you would be willing to share ?

Today, I tried to start it and found that the battery was dead. I want to know if it is usual for a car battery to get drained after parking it for 20 days or if the car is having some issues. It is my first car so I don't have any experience.
If the cabin light(s) or some other light was left ON by mistake then this can happen. Happened to me once long back.

In any case take the car to the service center and get it checked thoroughly. Batteries do not die before 3-4 years (my experience over 20+ years).

I understand this and am opting for another 2 years. But was thinking if there is any Product quality issue it will pop up in the year or so of operation. And for any failure the service guys will first quantify manufacturing problem or user error. In many cases it's dumped as user error. But any way Rupees 22,750 is a small amount to not pay for additional safety and I am getting it for 2 years.

As per the attached image grab form the 3XO Brochure it says 3 years of free RSA. I will reconfirm it from the dealership. But then the insurance also has the RSA built in, so think it is not required.

Thanks for the tips, those will be of use certainly. Regarding the catalog the current version is 1.9 which I saw at dealership, but even that does not have cloth upholstery as an option. If we have cloth upholstery as option, I will certainly go for it. Let me get the car and see how it fares.

I get this, I have seen the kit and it is blue box with Mahindra branding. it is being quoted for Rupees 28,500. MY point of taking it from the dealer was - Mahindra kit which would have been deemed best (or at least satisfactory) by factory. The polishing is done at the dealership before delivery as I saw it being done. And lastly it is on car right from the showroom and if outside it may be delayed for some days. I think I will do more search and arrive at conclusions.

Lastly one more point - Oriental Insurance is being quoted approx. 28K for all bells and whistles with NCB compared to 43k from HDFC Ergo. I think Oriental is still not cashless and that the process is more manual. vs HDFC Ergo which will be automatic from dealership itself. This could be a big factor. From the search on forum saw that Oriental is among the best pay masters so settlement is good. I have currently gone for oriental in my old car but have no experience in these 5 months.

Thanks for correcting me. RSA of 2K from dealer is for the 4th year, as I see from Mahindra4U app that my RSA is valid till 2028. So, first 3 years free from Mahindra and then 4th year for 2K.

You may check the CarPro coating packages at the below URL. I took the second package (page 2) that costs 30K for XUV 3XO. I upgraded the coat to CarPro Finest Reserve for an additional cost of 3600 rupees.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Has anyone encountered any problem with the diesel exhaust fluid system yet ? I got the E21 error (DEF dosing malfunction) around 9200km odo reading. Ended up with getting the NOX sensor replaced during the second service. It was covered under the warranty fortunately. However I'm wondering what if this problem comes after the warranty expires ? This NOX sensor costs around 22,000₹.
With the sensor getting defective with less than 10,000km on the odo, I also wonder how many times more is it going to happen ? For the record, my vehicle is driven daily about 200km on the highway, absolutely no exclusive city-driving till now.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hi,

This is my first post in Team-BHP. Thanks to the moderators for approving my request to join the community.

I am happy to inform you that I have booked my first car, XUV3XO MX2 Pro, from Mahindra Sireesh Auto, Bangalore. The sales executive has mentioned that there will be a waiting period of 6 months but will try to deliver the vehicle as soon as possible.

Are there any suggestions that I'll have to consider other than the points mentioned in the delivery checklist that I downloaded from the Team-BHP website?

Change the dealer if possible. These guys are the most unprofessional dealers per my experience. I am awaiting my delivery for 6 months after booking in May.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

When I booked my 3XO in first week of August, I was assured that my car would be delivered by end of November, that's within 4 months time or 16-20 weeks.

I had also told them that I would go ahead and cancel my booking if they didn't keep their end of the promise.

The car isn't anywhere close to arrive and so I took the tough decision to cancel my booking today. The sales manager asked me if I would consider Mahindra Thar 3 door, XUV 3XO AX7 or XUV 700 as an alternative to my booking as they are readily available and in their stock yard.

I wasn't keen on the available models/ variants and declined to reconsider. Thereafter filled a cancellation form and provided my bank account details. I believe the refund should be initiated and completed in 7-10 working days (as per their assurance).

So, there goes the 3XO. Let's see which car will occupy that space in coming days.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Guys, I got my 3XO delivered yesterday. I switched over to AX7L as that was readily available and in Nebula blue.

I did not did any PDI - as I was assured right car. The vin is for November 2024 batch and also do not see any physical issues

I did not got much accesories as did not wanted apart from mats and mud flaps. I did got the parcel shelf screen guard and sd card as well.

I went ahead with oriental insurance as it was 18k cheaper.

2 things I don't like -

1.) the alloys - very plain and no style, will upgrade later.

2.) the sound system is pathetic. I was using Kenwood x996 bt with infinity speakers (no amplifier) and yet the sound quality and the options to tweak are many. Here feel let down inspite of Harmon kardon.

There are few more niggles but will come back after few more days of driving/ ownership.

Thanks @TwinBishop . The car indeed looks great. I haven't added much accessories. except the mud flaps, parcel tray and floor mats.

The car had 83 km (yard to showroom kms) on the clock and I have driven another 100 km. It is a fun to drive car.

Congratulations on the purchase! May I know which floor mats did you go ahead with? Also, is it advisable to get it from the dealer or can I get it from 3rd party?

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

It's been over 4 months now since I booked my XUV 3XO AX5L AT Deep forest at AMPL, Chennai. It's really frustrating with every passing day and the dealership has no clue. Can someone please share some contacts with whom I can escalate this matter and hopefully get my car soon?
