1st year is free. 2nd year if I remember correctly 2500/year payable to mahindra. if you are using those feature it is not expensive.

After one year I will see how many times I used that app as app is super slow and buggy, just to show off its good I dont think it is practical enough for everyday usage.

XUV 3XO Engine after 2.2K & Service Experience

Team

I tried searching for a similar post for 3XO and couldn't find any, hence this post.
  • I did my first service at 1.3K KM at India Garage
  • I took my car for a 1000 KM drive. Right after 1.8K, the system started to give a warning of service delivery
  • It may be a mere coincidence I started to get a rough noise from the engine while shifting
  • Really like a tractor engine noise
  • Steering felt tight, and the smoothness and plush ride that I used to boast about was all gone completely
  • every time I start the engine Service due to a reminder, the SVC guys are not bothered

At this point, some suggested I change the engine oil to a fully synthetic and coolant change. Mahindra doesn't do any of these. But I wanted to check this with fellow friends here. Please let me know.

Despite all this, I took again for another 200 drives initially. All was good, but after 100, I felt the same roughness, not enough pull, etc, and frequent SERVICE DUE messaging. Suspensions are still good. That was my key requirement

Here is a pic of mine; I did some makeovers recently, such as a Black PPF top, a Caliper painting, and a little sticker work.

I have the service reminder popping up in my Thar every time I start it and its something I have gotten used to. Will get it reset at the 10k km service. I got the feeling that this reminder was deliberately left on during the 1st service so they can get you back to the shop and sell you some add ons. In any case I'm going to just ignore it.

The engine noise is definitely something that needs looking into. Is your car a diesel?

If you want to get rid of the service reminder, it's a simple process. There are tonnes of YouTube videos on it.

For the Thar service alert removal, there are dozens of videos on YouTube. I remove the alert every time. The service centre guys have never removed the alert themselves.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Hello Bhpians,

I'm posting on behalf of my friend, who is actively seeking to purchase the Mahindra 3XO AX5L MT (Petrol) in Bengaluru. He has already contacted a couple of dealers, one in Whitefield and another in PPS Indranagar.

Initially, PPS informed him that the AX5L could be made available in 8-10 weeks and that a third-party PDI would be allowed. However, the Sales Advisor later stated that Mahindra is not permitting third-party PDI. Similar response from the Whitefield dealer. They are also denying 3rd party PDI. Additionally, both dealers quoting a waiting of 16-20 weeks.

We're seeking guidance from fellow Bhpians who can recommend a reliable dealer or SA contact. Additionally, is it advisable to proceed with the purchase without a proper PDI? Denying this basic right raises several red flags.

Any tips or advice to help fulfill his dream of owning the 3XO would be greatly appreciated!"

Side note - If you choose to proceed, do not book with Sireesh Auto by any chance. They are highly unprofessional and unresponsive. I am suffering currently as I booked with them without doing proper research. I have mostly heard positive reviews on PPS.

I took the delivery of AX7L on 30th August from Anantcars Blore and I was told the similar thing. I can do whatever inspection I want but not by others.
Talking about basic right, don't dealer have basic right to talk / have PDI with to be lawful owner rather than any of the third parties?
Providing PDI is starting to become a business and nuisance to the dealers. I support their denial.

Have you used the mobile app, any feedback on that and the practicality?

Hi BHPians and 3XO owners, just out of curiosity (since I've not yet got my car delivered), could anyone share the window and windshield codes? I came across this video and hence this curiosity

This will also be helpful while buying used cars.

I respectfully disagree. There have been numerous instances and discussions (team-bhp threads) where car owners have faced negative consequences due to not conducting a proper PDI. The decision to perform the PDI personally, engage a third-party service, or delegate it to someone else should be left to the owner's discretion, as they are the ones making the financial investment. Moreover, PDI agencies possess specialized tools, such as paint depth measurement devices, which can identify repainted panels and other potential issues. In our excitement over a new car purchase, we often overlook manufacturing defects, potentially ending up with a lemon car.

Do not book with India Garage. I have booked AX7L Petrol AT on May 3rd , well before official booking opened and I am yet to hear from them. All they did was kept changing my booking of Nebula Blue (a total of three times) into wrong colors for reasons best known to them. Every time, I had to fight to get the color changed. The only proactive communication they did was in July where they offered me a AX5 Black Diesel Manual instead of AX7L Blue Petrol AT that I have booked. It almost sounded like a prank to me. That's India Garage for you before you buy. Imagine them after you buy.

I was also offered a AX5 MT by India Garage against my booking of AX5L AT. I conveyed that the primary reason for changing my car is to get an AT. Yet to get an update on the allotment, 12 weeks and still no clue on the date.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Can anyone with AX5 or AX5L (which have working Wireless Android Auto) confirm what is the software version installed in their infotainment unit ? (This information is obtained by clicking about 8 times on the settings gear icon on home screen)

The version installed in my AX7L is 09.01.01 (listed as "Current Package Version") based on Android 11.
I'm just wondering if this is same or different from that installed on AX5/AX5L

Still awaiting the update which will enable Android Auto. Alexa is already working, but it is not of much practical use.
