The Honda Elevate anyday, it has a tried and tested powertrain plus its easily manageable, which i am pretty sure your wife will appreciate.

One last observation: this may be subjective for a person - a person who uses the vehicle says he gets sciatic nerve compression and pain due to the driver seat bolsters being so hard, and he is looking for help to flatten it by having some seat covers, etc but the SVC will object for everything saying Airbag may get affected, etc. He is in a fix. (If anyone has any better ideas, please share them here. The impact he is like having a wallet in the back pocket and driving kind of it puts them off)[/QUOTE]

He needs to check he gets proper thigh support from seat. In taller people this back issue comes when thigh support is missing and entire weight is taken by bum and lower back. Solution for this is increasing seat height for proper thigh support. Or adding extra cushion in thight area of seat.

I am not sure if the RPM/thrust, whatever it was high on steroids like, back in years, I remember people referring to that as "Idling speed." It was like that until I got out of my basement; I even checked if something was pressing the accelerator pedal by mistake, the mat, but nothing I found abnormal. I'm not sure why that RPM high happened, and it is a bit scary that things are out of control, and I have to control with brakes until the system calms down. Anyone who experienced this in any other vehicles in your experience, please share! Many thanks!
Once you cold start, you need to give the car a good 45 seconds to settle down on the RPM needle. The 3OO starts at around 1700 and comes down to 600-650 RPM. If you engage gears as soon as you start, you should not touch the accelerator. The car will move automatically. This is with all the cars and it's not exclusive to the 3OO.

Yes, thank you. I learned from the service team that this is as per BS6 norms. The RPM goes up to 1800 for 40 seconds to pump the oil thru engine.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

I want some clarification in regard to this, will Engine oil change required during First Service i.e, 2000Km. Is it necessary or not ? When I enquired Service Centre about this they said it’s only necessary after 10000Km also my friends who all are new car owners from other manufacturers they too verified this and said none of them changed. Then why is there a first service which is needed within 2000Km What is the purpose of it ? if not to replace run-in Engine Oil with a fresher one and other general checkups. I am confused.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

Found this video where the 360 degree camera can be used for automatic video recording in the 3XO provided there’s SD card installed.

Just took an insurance quote from Acko. Asked for the top end variant AX7L Petrol Auto and added all add-ons. Here is the quote attached. Just for reference to compare the dealer's insurance quote.

Very useful information starting at 7:25 about triggering a 6 minute video recording (3 minute past video, 3 minute future video starting from a button press). That's a cool one.

Re: 2024 Mahindra XUV 3XO Review

I have booked an AX5L Petrol AT, due to be delivered soon. I had doubts on the accessories. The prices seem to be abnormally high.
I have been given the attached quote for Accessories, from the same dealer, Marathahalli showroom.

Now, for the Fog Lamps, it says "AS20075,& AS20076 Required to fit fog lamp". What does that mean? Could you please help, since you have got the Fog Lamps installed already.

Congratulations on your car! When's the delivery of your car scheduled and which color?

Congratulations! When did you book the car? My dealer said 10 weeks minimum for the AX7 AT White model.

Regardless, my heart just can't contain itself <3

I'm so excited for the delivery, it'll be the first one bought with my own savings and I'm sure my parents will be super proud!

Regarding the time, I paid the dealer before the bookings opened. So they booked on 15 May itself, as soon as the bookings started. May be thats why the delivery is expected sooner (it is still 6 weeks from the booking time).

Anything booked beyond 15 May is supposed to be preceded by at least 50,000 bookings that have, allegedly, been done on 15 May, in the first hour of opening.

These prices seem alright to me although I would have to check against my itemized price list on my receipt if one needs a precise verification. (I had all of these accessories and a few more.) Off the top of my head, the seat cover I took was something like ₹25k but the rest are similar to what I paid. Also, your list does not seem to include the fog lamp which along with its wiring was perhaps something like ₹10k (again, trying to go by my vague memory). The two items for the fog lamp are the wiring and the fog lamp itself.

Acko insurance is not good in terms of Claim Settlement Ratio (CSR). Reference: https://www.insurancedekho.com/car-i...aim-settlement.

My health insurance at office is Acko. I personally know that its not so great for large amount claims.

I used ICICI Lombard and Royal Sundaram for my Car insurance. Both of them approved the claims without much discussion. If possible, we can avoid Acko.

Also my friend got AX5 Diesel AMT Variant. When we showed the online quote from Royal Sundaram as 40K to dealer. He gave SBI insurance at 42K from Mahindra itself. We went for 42K as it will be hassle free during claims.
