Thanks! This worked, the user manual was vaguely worded around this so wasn't sure.

Have been using it as I earlier too had a tendency to shut off the engine manually on longer stop lights to save on fuel and emissions. I just turn off ISG when I am in stop start traffic. Is the impact on engine life significant? Considering it is a pretty common feature these days, OEMs must have tested and found it safe for use in Indian traffic conditions.

I am looking for Creta, exploring multiple dealers in Bengaluru. Please let me know how I can contact you. Thanks in advance.

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

Trident Hyundai arranged a Pre-Delivery Inspection for our Creta at their stockyard near Nelamangala. We visited their showroom in Yeshwanthpur, and the salesperson took us to the stockyard in a test drive vehicle. Their stockyard is vast, and as Trident dealer hosts a variety of brands including Hyundai, Renault, Isuzu, among others, all parked in an open field.

Our Creta was washed and parked under bright sunlight for us to conduct the PDI. I didn’t find any issues except for a slight misalignment near the right-side bumper and the C-pillar. Excited to take the delivery this weekend.

Variant: SX (O) Diesel MT.

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

I have booked SX(O) diesel variant and I have been contemplating about fixing a dashcam. Is there a way to use the ADAS Cameras for this purpose ?

I wouldn't count on it (Mechanical engineer in me )

Frequent stop and start would have negative impact on engine life. I doubt any OEM would vouch otherwise. We have examples in our daily lives where any device or machine if switched on and off frequently would fail sooner. That's how the physics work.

Well I have it in my Seltos FL too and I keep it ON always. I guess they have put in some fail safe mechanism because when I am in bumper to bumper traffic where the car keeps stopping and moving every 5 secs, then the car does not turn OFF. I guess it turns OFF after certain time limit of when the car had turned OFF the previous time.

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

Hello,

Received delivery on my new Creta (SXO IVT Petrol) last Sunday. Been using for a week and I quite like the experience so far.

I had been using a Silver color i20 before this. The new Creta is Pearl Emerald (which, let's face it, is practically Black in most light conditions). (A) It is getting significantly hotter when left in the sun. (B) It is a dust magnet. Appears much more dusty and water stains show much more prominently than my previous Silver i20.

Requesting suggestions from experts here - anything I can do to mitigate the two issues?
I am considering getting a ceramic coating - heard that reduces the dust accumulation and water stains. How effective is it?
If yes, can someone suggest a reliable place to get the Ceramic coating done in Bangalore (preferably near Koramangala, Indiranagar)?

The manual says the ISG will not re-activate until the vehicle crosses 5 km/hr speed. So I guess as long as you are in stop-and-go traffic and below the mentioned speed the ISG won't reactivate.

Hello. Firstly, congratulations on your new car! I have done Ceramic coating on my Venue and found it to be really useful. It is hydrophobic so doesn't allow water to settle on the car and one good sweep of duster removes all the dust. It makes your car washing process easier as well.

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

I took delivery of my Creta almost 2 weeks ago, and have been facing problems detecting getting Android Auto / Apple CarPlay.

After connecting my phone and pressing "Phone Projection" on the infotainment screen, it shows a message saying "Please connect a phone that supports Android Auto or Apple CarPlay via an approved USB cable."

Trouble is, I have tried 4 different cables now and 2 different phones (one is a Samsung, the other is an iPhone). Still nothing. Any idea what needs to be done to solve this fix ?

I too had faced similar issue in my Seltos while connecting my Android Phone. Later I realized, when connecting my phone, USB connection options pop up on my phone. After selecting "Android Auto" from those, my phone got connected without any hassle.

Hope this solves your problem.

Are you using a proper USB cable or Type-C cable. I had to get a separate USB cable and connect my phone to the USB-Jack to get CarPlay working - got the cable error with Type-C earlier. And yes, enabling permissions on the phone is a given.

Re: 2024 Hyundai Creta Facelift Review

Does any one know whether the USB-C port in the front work only when the engine is ON or it is powered by car battery only or it switches to battery when engine is turned off? The reason I am asking this is because I got a three channel dashcam for my new Creta 1.5 Turbo DCT and planning to connect the dashcam to a power bank which in turn is connected to the USB-C port in the front seat. I want my power bank to be charged when I am driving the car and when engine is turned off then I want the power bank not to get charged so as not to drain the car battery. I did explore the option of hard wiring the dashcam to the fuse box, but I have decided not to mess with it for now so as not to cause any electrical malfunction or warranty concerns. Any help in this regards is appreciated.

Thanks F1amit. I double-checked today, no permissions popped up whatsoever.

I have tried using 4 different cables - 1 of them was a type-c original Pixel cable. Another was a USB Oneplus cable. My Samsung phone never came with a charging cable - I believe some of the manufacturers nowadays do that. But I believe that the Oneplus / Google Pixel cable should have worked.

Not sure about the port being enabled, but do read this thread on power bank exploding in heat in a parked car. Do keep that in mind on how you plan to use the power bank for the dashcam.
