You will save huge on running cost by spending same amount of money. Nexon.EV is much superior to drive compared to Nexon ICE.
Thank you for your suggestion.

I would have loved to drive around in an EV. Unfortunately my frequently transferrable job and rental housing dont go well with charging solutions available for EVs.

Interesting comparison though at similar price points.

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Review

I've booked Nexon facelift. However, after the shocking price reveal, I'm not sure about it. The Creative +S DCA is costing around 17L on road in Bangalore. I can go for Kia Sonet top-end DCT at 17L with ventilated seats and a better engine or the HTX variant at 15L. The only thing stopping me is the Dry Clutch in Sonet vs. the Wet Clutch in Nexon! With the way traffic is increasing in Bangalore, I'm not sure whether Sonet's DCT will hold up. Still confused.

Issue is they have made changes and the price maybe appropriate for them. However, some of these changes have not been executed well, or were not needed in the first place. That's why there is such a huge outcry over the pricing. Will try to explain-

Good move, but since the much of the competition already has it, maybe it's "About Time".

Could have been better integrated in the instrument cluster. I don't see much help of it, if I anyways need to take my eyes of the road completely by turning to check the touchscreen. That said, it's indeed useful for parking needs atleast, then again it's just a sub 4 meter car, which not many would need help in parking.

Good move. However, since I have seen numerous videos wherein the screen did hang up. Again change not executed well enough.

Updates which were simply not needed. IMO this is a negative one for me.

Net updates for me therefore only include- 360 degree parking camera(Only for parking needs), JBL Sub woofer, Front passenger seat height adjustment, LED lights front and back, with sequential indicators and 6 airbags.

IMO considering these changes, the incremental price could have been around 70-75K only.

Exactly on the same boat, totally confused and just holding back because of Nexon's DCT.
Venue and Sonet only available with Dry Clutch DCT.
XUV 300- Low boot space is holding me back since my driving is 50-50 on city and native travel
Brezza - Maruthi badge.

Fearless costs 18+ on road in Bangalore and this is the costliest sub-compact SUV right now in the market

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Review

As per Cardekho portal, Creative+ EV is 15.52 lacs on road, whereas same variant in Petrol DCT is 14.87 on road.

With such small difference, does it really make sense to buy a petrol or am I missing something here?

You don't find these changes useful, and that's okay.

But Tata is not making the car for just you or me or TeamBhp members. Yes, we are potential customers, but just a small percentage of that. Public at large wants these features, and is ready to pay a premium for it.

I don't see this outcry when Koreans overload the vehicles with features but do absolutely nothing about structural safety. And those vehicles sell too. So what's wrong if Tata is following the market trend? They are providing a safe vehicle with the added features. And it's not like someone is forced to buy the top most variant only. People can buy any variant they want.

And I'll wait before declaring these features to be poorly implemented. Tata has made absolutely zero delivery till now, and we have already concluded that these features are not implemented properly. If you have already made up your mind, what's the point of this discussion?

Guess DT= Dual tone, S= Sunroof, + is the variant.

What is the 'Pr'?

Edit: Just now saw the fine print. Pr for purple.

More variants than what is shown in their website, but if this is true, then kudos!!! One can buy a Fearless + variant without sunroof too.

Anyways, so how is Tata pricing their petrol and diesel versions so close to each other considering almost every other manufacturer seems to have a slightly bigger difference in pricing.

Hi, get yourself Honda Elevate V CVT at 16.75 lacs, spend 45K on Alloys and you are good to go with one of the best engine + AT transmission + reliability with good space inside out.

17L quoted by dealership sounds too much.
Could you provide the details?

Because I have booked DCA creative+ at on road price of around 15.25L. By comparison DCA creative+S should be around 15.75L to 16L on road.

15.50 L for Diesel top end that too an AMT box?? TATA has lost it seriously. Kia Sonet gets a much better TC unit for a Lakh cheaper!

I just hope Kia doesn't go bizarre with pricing their Sonet facelift like the Nexon.

It's you who asked Forum members opinion on the pricing and what could have been the ideal price. I just provided it.
I was just trying to show why there is a negative perception on Nexon's pricing in this Forum. I do agree the pricing has been high, you don't and that's fine.

Koreans have been criticized a lot for the same. Infact there have been separate threads for that. Let's not digress, by bringing the Koreans into discussion here.

Regarding Tata, they have provided the features, but like I highlighted above, either some of them are useless (Glowing steering, touch panel for climate control), or have been half heartedly implemented (Blind view monitor, without the display in MID)or there are some serious flaws with them (Screens going blank). Nothing spectacular with such features IMO.

There have been multiple instances of these failing in the media reviews. Tata knows they have to put the best foot forward as these media reviews will make an impression about the car. Still these cars had so many issues! I just wonder if they couldn't provide a car without niggles to the media reviewers, the customers are just plain Beta testers who won't voice their negative opinions as strongly as some unbiased media reviewers like (Gagan, Team BHP, ICN studio etc.)

Re: 2023 Tata Nexon Facelift Review

There is <70k difference between Creative+ DCA (14.86, as per company) and Creative+ EV (15.52, as per Cardekho.com).

Does this mean TATA is promoting its EV over its petrol version or am I missing something here?

If one scores 5* safety rating and other crumbles like a piece of paper, is it really fair to compare these two?
