CMBS is not intrusive if you drive normally in a defensive manner.

It will auto brake if you are used to driving in an assertive/aggressive manner. Like braking too close to car or bike in front or taking sharp turns at high speeds with cars/bikes in front .

I drive daily in Bangalore B2B traffic with monthly highway drives. CMBS is always on. Haven't had any issues. Having said that, only place where I'm careful is when I'm taking a sharp turns in neighborhood streets. Invariably, pedestrians are present. In such scenario, if you accelerate even lightly from say 9-11 kmph, car will hit brakes. I simply coast or slow down during turns in these cases.

Main thing to understand is, if the system feels you are in control, it will not interfere. CMBS will not come into play if steering or brakes are in use.

You'll get used to it in a day or two. Just drive defensive in crowded areas like markets etc and you'll be fine.

Also, between Sonet and Elevate, they are in diff segments under diff tax brackets. In a way you are paying more for Elevate simply because of 4m rule. But you get oodles of space, comfort with long term durability compared to Sonet. Aslo, ADAS is great for cruise control. Without adaptive, cruise control is pretty useless in India.

If yes, what kind of shops do this?
Did you go ahead and buy the Elevate? Also was the back seat altered?
Does the rear seat come with three seat belts or just two? Yet to test drive the Elevate.

Please let us know the additional cost for replacing the tires, Bosch wipers, damping and upgrading the speakers. Also where you got each of these done.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

People who drive aggressively going close to card ahead, cyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians nearby will have problems with CMBS. I have had only the odd beep and one hard braking ( was driving at 10 kmph when cyclist came close on left side.) event.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

Autocar India has an interesting post on 25/2/25 stating Elevate has just crossed 1lac sales since launch.

Exports is almost 50%. In addition to Japan, South Africa is also a target market (aside from usual Nepal, Bhutan).

CVT account for 79% sales.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

Can an OEM expedite BNCAP /GNCAP ratings? I thought they can sponsor models.

My point being a 5 Star rating would definitely add to sales of Elevate. Again this is presuming it gets 5 Stars, else this strategy could boomerang.

The rear seat has 3 point seat belts for all 3 occupants in R variants of Elevate, which is the model available for last 8-9 months.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

Is Honda going to hike prices of this car from 1st April? Any information would be helpful.

Re: Honda Elevate Review

Thank you. I'm talking to a dealer in Delhi for the V-MT (R) model and instead of being given a decent financial year end discount was told the price hike is from 1 April. I really cannot take the sunroof so V is my only bet I think.

I am getting the 7 year extended warranty free and the insurance can be brought down from 60K to 40K by switching from honda assure to tata. However no major dealer discount is being offered.

What kind of discount should I ask for at dealer level?

As per the official scheme of Honda, these are the offers applicable for March 2025:
ZX (MT) & Black Benefits upto ₹ 66 100/-

SV/V/VX (MT) Benefits upto ₹ 56 100/-

Apex Edition (MT) Benefits upto ₹ 45 000/-

ZX (CVT) & Black Benefits upto ₹ 86 100/-

V/VX (CVT) Benefits upto ₹ 71 100/-

Apex Edition (CVT) Benefits upto ₹ 46 100/-

So, the V(MT) R has benefits up to Rs.56,100 officially, moreover, this is available as a flat cash discount. in addition to this, some dealerships are offering additional offers of up to Rs.50,000 in the form of extended warranty, free accessories, etc. So, try to get the maximum discount from your dealer or try another dealership.

Thank you. I did try that. What the dealers (both of whom I spoke with in the area) are saying is that either one gets the cash discount OR the extended warranty benefit for free. It's not both. Taking an extended warranty for free reduces the cash discount significantly (down to just 15K from the 56K otherwise worked in).

Didnt seem like such a great deal tbh.
