1.2 lakh flat discount sounds great!! Could you please share more details i.e., is it a cash discount or a combination of insurance/extended warranty etc?

I’d prefer the Creta. I was planning to buy the Seltos diesel AT and took test drives of both diesel and petrol. Having owned the Creta diesel AT 2021 model before, I did not like the suspension setup on the seltos at all. The 17” models have firmer suspension where you’ll feel the thuds from the potholes and the patched up roads. The ride was worse in the car with the 18” wheels. The Creta rides much better. The Creta even feels airier and more spacious.
Agreed, the Creta is a great package overall with better comfort, sense of roominess and space. Only the interior quality could and should have been better (particularly the cheap centre console that creaks and screams horrible cost cutting). Paying 20 plus lakh and getting a inferior quality console which makes that annoying and equally embarrassing creaking noise everytime your leg touches it during driving is just not cool IMHO.

I thought I was imagining things when I felt the seats in the seltos to be narrower and having lesser under thigh support! Thanks for this second opinion! Now I’m even more sure of dropping the seltos. It really is a shame that the Elevate has such poor NVH. I Liked it much better than the seltos in terms of cabin feel and the way it drives over bad roads.

It is a combination of exchange bonus (which is 40k), cash discount, corporate discount, insurance discount and the 4th & 5th year extended warranty cost. The sales consultant also mentioned that if the exchange vehicle is a Kia, an additional 20k loyalty discount will be given. These are all from Kia directly according to the SC (except for the insurance discount I think).

Yes! The infamous creaking of the Center console is terrible! I had it in my Creta and it was so embarrassing when passengers used to ask why is my new car creaking so much! None of the service centres were able to resolve it (despite showing them your posts on the possible solution ). It still exists in the 3 facelift cars that I test drove. What a shame!

Thanks for your observations.

How much points will you give these cars on a scale of 1 to 10 for the NVH levels?

1. Creta
2. Seltos
3. Grand Vitara / Toyota Hyryder (Mild Hybrid)
4. Honda Elevate

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

Hello fellow members. I own a jan 2024 Seltos GTX+ DCT. Yesterday I received a call from service center asking me to take my car to service center for a mandatory software update which enhances the engine performance. They said that the update will take 4-5 hours and they accept only 2 cars per day.

Has anyone else got a call like this?

Our Xline Black has finally reached dealer's stockyard! First glimpse of it:

Did a quick PDI, everything looked in order (will do a more comprehensive one before registration/delivery next month).

Hello Everyone, I am new here.

I am facing a lot of issue from the dealer in Hyderabad, Telangana. I have booked my X Line 1.5 DCT in the month of August and they have been delaying the delivery since 20 days now. They have no clarity from the manufacturer regarding the delivery.

One things is that, my car’s billing is completed and the manufacturer has not yet released the car from the anatapur plant.

I have seen two memebers have received the X Line Aurora black pearl. I just need some help as to how have you received the car? I am desperately waiting to get hand on the car.

Please do share more photos of the vehicles. Thank you in advance.

Hello, I wanted to know in which state are you based out from?

Which dealership have you booked your car? Did you book new Aurora Black or regular Matte Black?
Hyderabad dealerships have more stocks of GTX+ variants based on my experience. I assume they might be delaying your delivery so that you go for GTX+ which is in their stock, or they allocated the car to someone else.
Every showroom would have escalation contacts displayed somewhere in the showroom. Next time when you visit the showroom you can look for escalation contacts, email and call them.

Re: 2023 Kia Seltos Facelift Review

I almost finalised Seltos GTX plus DCT, the specs looked really good and the car looked even more amazing in person. The interiors are also designed much better than Creta. Then I finally got to test drive the car in Banglore's bumper to bumper traffic, and the realisation hit me, DCT is definitely not designed for a city like Bangalore, there were way too many gear shifts happening every few seconds, though the shifts were pretty smooth most of the time . Took it through few bad patches of road and I felt every bump in the cabin, Kia should have really avoided that 18 inch wheel size.

Disappointed with the city ride of GTX plus, I asked for test driving the new Gravity IVT variant. Gotta say, it rides as good as the Creta, the tyre size do make a difference. Also I really liked the built in Dashcam, looked pretty neat. But for the price of 18.05 lakhs, I did feel it was overpriced compared to the Creta SxO IVT that costs only 70k more, which comes with better alloy wheels, seats, ADAS and a 360 cam.

So I finally decided to go with the Creta SXO IVT even though I could only negotiate for a 3D mat as free accessory . Compared to the the KIA showroom offering me 30k in cash discount and 10k worth of accessories.

Very Good Decision. CVT transmission is tailor-made for city use. Also, Creta has the best ride quality, a silent and a spacious cabin!

Hello, welcome to the forum.

We booked our Xline Black couple of months ago and didn't face any issues with allotment. There are no delays from Kia, your dealer seems to be creating this artificial supply constraint to push you to go for a slow moving variant or something they haven't been able to sell. Dealers across the country have unsold inventory and they would definitely strategize to clear that. Please talk to them and let them know that you are ready to cancel your booking and go to a different dealer, if they don't get your car.

Good luck.

Thank you for writing so soon. They are receiving other variants for deliveries and they have been giving me excuses that they aren’t sending any X line aurora black to Telangana state.

To your surprise the dealers are also clueless regarding the manufacturing plant not sending it and not giving any clarity of it. They have given me assurance that the car is manufactured and booked for dispatch, but they don’t know when they are going to send it.

I have booked the car on August 14th. It would be great if you could let me know from which dealer you’ve booked the car.

Thank you for writing me back, i am just clueless with the way they are handling the delivery. Please refer to my previous post.

Is it possible for you to share a few photo so that I can send it to my dealer to speed up things.
