May I know in which city are you getting this? I am getting suspicious about the delay over ‘quality check’ on my Jimny. I haven’t got a concrete answer to my queries. Maruti customer care says that there are no delays as such but dealer is sure that he has been told to hold the delivery. Car is physically available. I may change the mind and go for some place else.
This is in Kolkata. The dealer told me that they have the car in the stockyard, and they have shared pictures with me. I will go personally tomorrow to check the vehicle. Other two dealers were offering 2.2 lacs on a Oct 24 Granite Grey Alpha AT (with a condition of having the finance sourced from them) and another dealer was offering a Dec 24 Black Alpha AT with a discount of 1.95 lacs (with no condition of financing)

Hello, could you please share the dealer's name who is giving discounts on MT? Kindly also share the discount amount too.

I am personally inclined to buy a Zeta MT in kolkata, but discounts are negligible for a few dealers I have talked to. Thanks in advance!

I concur with others here, that you should bargain more. For a Nov 24 manufactured Alpha AT that I bought in Dec 24 and received in Jan 24, I received 1.8+1.5 = 3.3 lacs discount. OTR was 14.9 lacs. This was in Bangalore and Kolkata should have more discount, not less.

Of course, for the 1.5 lac part of discount I had to take loan facilitated by Maruti. I took the smallest allowed loan of Rs 3 lacs to minimize the overhead.

After delivery, I found that insurance was 4k lower than in quote. I accosted the Sales Adviser with that, and he provided accessories worth the amount. So I guess otr became 14.86

As far as I know, Jyote Motors, Kolkata is having some 2024 Zeta model in stock. You can talk to them to bargain for discount. Start from 2.2 lacs as base discount.

Re: Maruti Jimny Review

After the 3rd free service ( 10k service), my Jimny's avg FE is showing 7.8 kmpl. It was 11 kmpl before I gave it to service. I am wondering if they reset any sensor or software. During service, I had asked if there are any SW updates to be done. Response from SA was 'None'.

Any one faced similar issue?

I can understand that I should bargain more. Actually I am very bad at bargaining. Should I be in the mode that either give me 2.6 lacs discount or I am walking away?

Walk in with a range in mind (so you have some room to negotiate), and if the dealer offers what you want +/- a few %, decide if the price works for you. Ask to see the car and take some time to consider, don't get pressured into deciding (or paying a significant 'blocking' amount) on the spot. Leaning on a buyer's FOMO is salesman tactics 101.

Willingness to actually walk away is a must if you're negotiating.

Is this only on the cluster, or have the FE stats on the ICE been reset too?

If the former, they most likely reset the cluster FE reading and it's showing FE since reset, not for the entire ODO reading.

I recently had my car's third service, and my numbers are now around 13. You can start with a manual FE calculation, and if it is more than 10, it is likely just a reset and you should start seeing the correct figures soon. If you don't then it's probably a display unit issue.

Re: Maruti Jimny Review

To those who are looking for Alpha AT '24 model (with discount), there is one with Nexa Azamgarg in grey color and a couple of them with Shillong Nexa. You may look up sales numbers online and have a word.

Thanks .

Re: Maruti Jimny Review

Hi All!

I took delivery of Jimny Alpha MT on 28 Jan 2025. It cost me 12.63 OTR with Haryana registration, extended warranty, insurance with all inclusions available & accessories worth 8k included in the price.

I have seen some videos of wobbling issues with Jimny on YouTube, though I've run it for approx. 300 kms & haven't experienced it yet.

My vehicle is Manufactured in November 2024. Does anybody else experience the wobble issue with manufacturing close to mine?

Re: Maruti Jimny Review

Is there a specific fix to the roof crackling issue? It's finally beginning to show up on my car.

I'm skeptical asking the Nexa chaps to try, unless there's some sort of an official known fix. They try in earnest but aren't necessarily the most competent bunch.

No concrete solution as of now. The nexa guys tightened the roof clips as a solution which seemed to sort it out. But I've heard that some owners reporting that the noise has returned after sometime. Turning a deaf ear to the sound is the best available solution right now

In case they disconnected the battery and reconnected, this could happen. On my Innova crysta the lifetime fuel economy gets reset with every battery replacement. It's weird that they are not saving it to a non volatile memory like what they do with odo reading.

Fingers crossed, you should be fine. Kingpin / Rotor replacements have been "suggested" to all Jimny's built till September - October 2024.
