Hi All,

I'm facing a weird problem after my car's recent visit to A.S.C to replace my DRLs under warranty...

Please have your car checked out at the dealer at the earliest. I had a "outage/ shutdown" that was undiagnosed except that the ASC did an ECU update after which there have been no issues. You may check my earlier post #1323 in this thread. I suggest you get the car inspected and rectified before there is a further problem.

Thank you, the SA messaged now and said it's best to send the car to the ASC without delay as sometimes issues like this might cause the car to not start at all randomly.

What I'm surprised is, everything was just fine, after the DRL change why this is showing up is surprising. The amount of electronics and software on today's cars is too complex to understand

Quick Update on the issue, the ASS folks tried multiple things and concluded that the issue is with the Start/Stop button itself (SSB Switch) and when swapping the button from a demo car, it works fine. They have ordered this part now and it'll take 4-5 working days to get the replacement part from the factory.

Meanwhile they have given back the car and I've to take it back once the replacement part is received. :sadface

Is a new variant / Facelift or a refresh expected anytime soon? perhaps the N Line?

Apologies for being lazy and asking the question and not going through previous posts on this topic

The new rear spoiler available on the Verna is a stepped design. Besides the newly introduced Amazon Grey exterior shade, Hyundai also offers 8 monotone and 2 dual-tone colour options.

Spoke with 4 different dealers in Bangalore and all of them were unanimous in saying that all new models arriving from the factory will have this spoiler. It's not optional.

I wonder what Hyundai's official stance is on this subject.

As per my interaction with one of the Hyundai's SA recently, facelift can be expected in 2026, but he's not sure about Nline. However, a minor variant correction can be expected in 2025.

I see in Hyundai Verna site under features that "Rear Spoiler" is Yes for all variants except EX. So I guess it'll be fitted by default.

In the photos it looks "okayish" but I saw the spoiler in person on a White Test Driver car and IMHO it looks hideous. Already Virtus is the segment best seller and Verna is competing for second, but I feel this spoiler is going to turn lot of people away from Verna :disappointed

Greetings,

My Verna is due for its 30,000 km service this weekend. Is there anything to look out for other than the regular general service i.e. Software update etc.? Any inputs much appreciated.

I got opportunity to test drive Verna 1.5 Turbo MT couple of months back and also 1.5 DCT couple of days later.

The 1.5 Turbo both in MT and DCT felt very responsive, gains speed fast and brings back the feel I had in my Polo 1.6 GT TDI, gear shifts in MT are short, clutch travel did not feel as long as that of Polo MT, DCT shifts are not at all noticeable.
Verna handled sharp curves on the road and suspension could handle bad patches decently. I could take Verna on the curves with confidence at 70 kmph.

Overall, I came impressed after test drive.

My next car has to be an automatic only. I went with SX(O) 1.5 Turbo DCT and the car had to be in red color only.
I was disappointed when the salesperson from 3 showrooms said the same thing that "red" color has a waiting of 3+ months.

I did not like look of new Verna when it was launched and went to showroom with nil expectations. The car looked better in-person than in pictures.
I have not seen any new Verna with spoiler in Hyderabad in about a month, so I would still wait to see Verna with rear spoiler in-person. The rear spoiler is spoiling the rear profile more now in the pictures.

Hyundai needs to work on design elements of the Verna. Verna is still unable to beat Virtus in sales chart, even though top end Verna is available at ₹17.5 lakh ex-showroom (including ADAS Level 2). The polarizing front and now the rear might be putting people off and they go with Virtus.

Virtus looks lot better than new Verna from front as well as rear and reminds me of 6th generation VW Jetta.
The suspension of Virtus felt stiffer as compared to Verna on the same stretch of road. I am still inclined towards Verna if the dealers can provide me one in Red with DCT gearbox.

While I was driving in the city around 40kmph, the driver side door suddenly unlocked and the the door open warning and alarm flashed on the MID.

Though it got unlocked by itself, the door did not completely open. It just got released from the fully closed positioned and moved one step out.
Holding the door in one hand, I had to pull over to the side and re shut the door and drive back.

This particular incident happened to me on the same door a month back. And again now. I’m pretty sure the door was shut as usual.
Anybody faced or aware of this issue?

Verna SX(O) owners: did your car come with a luggage net in and for the boot?

I saw it in this video for the first time today (3:56 minute mark in the video): https://youtu.be/zwdw3k9C_v0?si=wK3FI4XlVETlTYUJ&t=236

I checked the Verna brochure, and sure enough, this was mentioned!

This exact thing happened to me months ago, though I can’t say for sure if I closed the door properly. Since then I have been closing the door properly (with that assuring thud). It never happened again.

I don’t have it. Perhaps the new models are coming equipped with the luggage net.

That video is dated March 17th, 2024.
The brochure I've quoted is that of the Verna 2023 version that was launched originally.

The latest brochure for the "spoiler" edition 2024 doesn't have this entry.

I dont know how true this holds. But I could not get the alignment right for this car when it was done outside. The car would pull to one side. I make it a point to get the alignment and balancing done every 5k kms. The only way I could fix the pull was by getting the alignment done at Hyundai. They perform a steering calibration reset and then the car drives straight. They even mentioned that steering calibration reset is mandatory otherwise it might result in car pulling to one side when just the alignment is performed. Since then i've done the alignment twice at Hyundai itself and face no issues.

The Verna does come with a luggage net. I purchased my car in September 2023. The SA specifically showed this to me during the PDI and also during delivery. Though it is a bit small it used to do the job well. But unfortunately during the recent drives and chaos of my wedding I seem to have lost it somewhere. Don't know if I can get a new one from Hyundai.

Yep, the luggage net was given in a small plastic pouch along with other accessories I got from the dealer. However till date I haven't opened it and tried to use it rl:
