I hope the tune is reliable, 190 bhp in a sedan that weighs about 1240 kilos will make it decently quick.
The platform's got way more potential than you'd think and is capable of doing a bigger number than this. Here’s a clue: Dr. Naren and the Wolfmoto crew are cooking up something special. Thanks to Dr. Naren, my car just breezed through two weeks of testing with a Wolf stage 1+ tune, and let me tell you, the gains are absolutely mind-blowing.

This is excellent. I know Naren has the manual Verna. Do you have the DCT version? Curious to know how the DCT handled/ will handle all that torque.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

As expected, due to a long weekend most of the Delhi folks seem to be out of the state for vacation.

Airport drive has never been so economical and fun!

The car puts the power down well as of date. No issues so far. Long term reliability of the DCT I cannot really comment right now

This is what i was waiting for, i was waiting to bite the bullet on a brand new SX Turbo manual. If there is a map in the works i might as well get it with ongoing discounts.
Are you able to share some power figures?
i feel like i need to make a visit to EE soon.

Thanks buddy for helping with your car for development . I would be getting the Wolf remap next week.

This engine has huge mod potential. We were surprised with the massive gains with just a remap. Stage 1 + Verna 1.5 T-GDI did more power than Stage 3 S-Cross 1.6 haha. I got the 20k km service done today and Hyundai has updated the ECU map. I hope this update didn't make the ECU non tuneable.

Stock car did 142 HP at wheels and Wolf Stage 1+ did 196 HP at wheels. The car would be doing more than 210 HP at crank.

It should not be a problem as it is a minor revision. My car is MT and the engine feels better in low end and half throttle response post the update.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

Does anyone know the official GC for the Verna ? Hyundai doesn’t mention it in the Verna brochure. The SA told me its 165mm whereas some publications on the internet say its 170mm.
I am looking to get the SX(O) Turbo MT.

I think it is 165mm, sufficient enough to clear speed breakers with load. Just make sure you brake well before the breaker !

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

In the past month, I have had two incidents where the car scrapped its bottom.

This happened when exiting a basement on a ramp that had an elevated speed breaker kind of design on the top.

I don't know what the people designing such parking spaces are thinking. This might happen not just in the Verna but almost all sedas that have a long wheelbase.

Both locations were restaurants and I am so happy that I never ever give my car to the valet drivers.

I take the car up very slowly. A valet may just not bother about it.

Has anyone have idea about this incident on new Verna? It is shocking to see, the 5 star rated car, axle out.

This doesn't seem to be in India. Can you please recheck. The white sedan is definitely a Chinese car, probably a BYD. And the three-wheeler is also not an Indian type.

From what I see, the car mentioned isn't a Verna, it's an Elantra. Owing to the fact that Hyundai didn't launch the new Elantra in India, then it's not India.

I think you are right. The number plate of the black car also looks different than the Indian standard plus it is right-hand driving.
