The black beauty looks gorgeous with hints of red in front.
Are the side and aero fin official accessory?
If not, can you share links or approximate cost of both

Is it possible to black out front connecting led and keep the DRLs?

The service attendant told me they did level adjustment and few other things which the workshop head will call and explain. The call never came though, it's been more than a week. I will do a follow up and let you guys know. But I sincerely think all of your must write to Hyundai.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

Just wanted to check with fellow owners- what's your experience been like after the ECU update? I have noticed that in my case that the DCT which used to liberally upshift early in the interest of economy earlier, now has become more linear and tends to hold D1, D2, D3 for longer periods. This has made it a bit of a linear performer in the 0-50 kph regime if you don't push pedal too much.

I can truly relate to this ad. I learned to drive in my father's Hyundai Eon, and now, 13 years later, I've bought a Verna. It's incredible how much life can change.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

Is this a coolant leak? I see some coolant had come off at the end of the hose.

I saw about the recall for coolant hose replacement/ECU update hence would like to get some opinion here.

Yes, it appears to be coolant leak unless the cap was left open. Level also seems to be low. Do get it checked.

Update: The coolant did not leak. The SA told me that excess coolant had come out via the overflow pipe(only for turbo variants). Mine is SX(O) DCT.

Got the ECU update + throttle body cleaning done by Trident Hyundai Mahadevapura(Bengaluru) this evening. It took hardly 30 minutes to wrap up the work.

I could feel that the engine is way smoother now, especially when in moving traffic. I also noticed that the fuel efficiency has improved slightly post the update. I used to notice the lower hears holding high RPMs before shifting (even in eco mode), but the problem has gone away now. Though the RPMs were higher, it did not translate into power for a few seconds until the gear changes. Now I can comfortably drive under 1500 RPM in crawling traffic. Gear shifts have also gotten better now.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

Hyundai sold 1,420 units of the Verna in July 2024 due to which it has become the 2nd best selling sedan of July 2024, the first being Virtus at 1,766 units.

I feel the discontinuation of Verna Diesel has resulted in the downfall of sales.

Not sure what's hyundai's plans here. Diesel is still the most Popular in SUV and Sedan line. Kia is offering Auto Diesel for Sonet while Venue Diesel Automatic has been discontinued.

A big opportunity missed by not bringing the Diesel Auto in Verna.

Also now Tata is Bringing a new DCT Diesel Automatic. So I don't see Diesel cars getting banned for another 10 years atleast.

Hopefully Hyundai brings Diesel Again.

AFAIK, Venue never came with Diesel AT. Hyundai could have sold 2-3k units of the Verna easily, if they had also launched a diesel engine in the Verna. There's a lot of demand for diesel Verna especially after the launch of new-gen, the prices of used Diesel Verna's have been skyrocketing.

Hyundai Ad
This was such a heart touching ad. I can't count the number of times I had watched it when it came out. Hyundai truly captured how much family means in Indian society & how a car is more a family asset when compared to the west where it is more of an individual identity.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

Have been pondering over MSXTTLY adapter to get the benefit of wireless carplay. I have seen a couple of posts here in Verna forum and they are positive.

Getting it for 6799/- on Amazon. However, there are two adapters, which one should I go for? I use an iphone.

1. Only Apple Carplay

2. Both Android Auto and Apple Carplay

Get the one with Android Auto as well, you never know, it can come in handy sometimes. You are basically future proofing yourself. Having both is better!
