Air filter is fine and cleaned during the service last week. Tire pressure is as per manufacturer recommendation.

Perhaps I need to ask one of the fellow teambhpian Verna Dct owners to drive my car to gauge and if I am over thinking

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

1000 Kms Review of my Hyundai Verna DCT

Travelled to Thrissur last week from Bangalore.

Good:

* Used Eco Mode during Onward Journey and maintained 80 to 95. Mileage returned was 17KMPL. Traffic was heavy during the weekend.

* Return did some spirited driving in Normal Mode. Mileage returned was 15 KMPL.

* Overall Satisfied with Mileage returns although nowhere close to my old Diesel i20 but it was matching my expectation.

* Car was an absolute Gem in Normal Mode with power being available on every Tap. Eco mode made the car feel heavier and having some lag.

* Eco mode was best for free open roads.

* Ground Clearance has been absolute no issue with 2 People.

* Front Parking Sensor and Blind Spot Warning System is very useful in City.

* AC and Ventilated seats works perfectly and chills pretty quickly.

* Music system works pretty good and the physical controls are a big plus compared to the touch system in Rivals.

Okay:

* Still the Seat Comfort is not upto the i20 Levels but has definitely improved. This is because the Steering is bigger and Seat being on much lower height while the Pedal is little closer compared to i20. So this is taking time to get used to.

* Soft Suspension is a Big Plus in City especially since most of Bangalore roads are in poor condition with Rains. But not firm in Highways compared to i20 but still it was Okay.

Not so Good:

* Headlights was the one big dissapointment especially with Rains, Visibility was so bad. Raised this with Hyundai and they are checking with Headoffice for any possibility of alternative solution.

* No wireless Apple Car play. Wired solution was getting disconnected during big bumps. Added MSXTTLY Adapter which is good (Not the fastest compared to my old i20 Wireless Car Play). But its very stable.

Overall Baring some niggles, Happy so far !!!

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

Guys , just got the Verna Turbo DCT last month. While it's great in all aspects, one thing has been troubling me. When the engine is idle, say on a red light, there considerably vibration, like a diesel vehicle. Someone else facing this issue ?

You can take it to a service centre as my vehicle has no Vibration during idle. And what's the Idle RPM?

In case you are keeping your foot on the brakes all the time while on the red light while in Drive mode, you may want to shift to N. Note this is a DCT transmission and one should be careful to " baby" it for the duration of the ownership.

Yep, it's always on the N. Anyway this start stop function is not the best calibrated on the vehicle so I do put on N. The vibration is like a the one that used to be there in the old diesel vehicles where the throttle would go slightly up and down.

Yup this is what it looks like! Let me figure the RPM today and see. This is helpful, thank you!

Informative video. I have seen this guy's Youtube channel (Tushar Goel) where he captures his drag races with the Verna turbo... really roughs up his car/revving it like crazy for long durations. Could some of the issue (in his case) particularly be because of how the car is being driven for long periods of time? Most of us here I'd imagine drive normally and unlike those guys who do regular drag races.

One thing for sure I've noticed is the ASC guys either don't understand the new Verna Turbo DCT or they purposely don't acknowledge the issue/underplay it that everything is fine.

This post is regarding a weird sensation I'm feeling for the past two days, When the car is in 3rd or 4th gear around 1300rpm there is very minute power cut that I can feel while driving, many wouldn't even notice but I can feel it. Let's say the car is doing 35kmph and I lift the throttle and the cut happens when I press the throttle again to accelerate. Haven't noticed it before. Haven't escalated the issue to ASC just yet.

Any inputs would be much appreciated.
Update:
Took the car to ASC today morning and got the throttle body and air filter cleaned as a precaution even though my VIN doesn't come under the recall for 'ECU update & Throttle body cleaning'. Drove around 10km in city speeds and the aforementioned problem looks to have been solved now.

So no, the RPM is stable at 0.6 , the vibration seems to be coming down as the engine is being run in. The car drives like a hoot other than that. Really enjoying driving a sedan after a long while since all other cars in the garage are SUVs.

Ohh, that’s sad. Why would a dog do such a thing!

How did you correct it? Got it repainted from service center or a body shop or left it as is?
