This is very true for any car, more so for turbo petrol / diesels. I don't know about the turbo-petrols but can confirm that turbo-diesels show a remarkable difference in the drive when the cold start idling is done for over 1 minute.

I have a Kia Carens and I've noticed clicking sounds while turning the steering with the indicators turned on as well. I too was told that this is common in all Kias and the ASC brought their TD vehicle to demonstrate it for me. I posted it on the Carens thread and was given a reference to your post by BHPian MyLife_MyCar.

If possible, can you please share the list of parts that are/will be changed?

Much needed. I have lost count of the hours that my phone is plugged in for the AA, causing the battery to charge multiple times even if it doesn't require one.

As far as I understand, Verna has HYUNDAI Gen5W Standard Navigation Infotainment and this wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay feature as well as Amazon Music as streaming service is only available for ccNC systems. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Yes, it is. It was reported in online auto journals that Hyundai officials told them about the OTA update of wireless Android and Apple carplay during the Verna launch. So fingers crossed

The ECU of the car hasn't been unlocked yet and thus it requires a passcode from HMIL to turn off/alter speed chime.

Its best not to fiddle with these regulatory systems lest there be insurance issues in case of an incident. 120 kph is high enough a speed anyway.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

Completed 1500kms on the Verna SX(O) Turbo Petrol Manual, delivered during Aug 2023. The longest drive was BLR-COK and back. 1500 kms of which 1100 on highways, 400 within BLR city.

# Extremely sensitive to throttle inputs.
# As response is quite instant, and powerful, need to be careful.
# Mileage within city between 8-14kmpl, highway 12-18kmpl
# Got a high of 20kmpl for a 80kms stretch.
# Headlights are pathetic, but the cornering lights are really useful.
# AC Cooling is fine, but felt could be better. Will be checking core temp with my probe
# Steering is light and easy to use, and weighs up decently on highway. For my liking, it can be slightly heavier.
# Ground Cleararence- With 3 on board, has not scraped any BLR speed bumps.
# Compared to the Seltos, the verna's ride is much better.
# 5* NCAP, but doors really could do with more heft, not from safety perspective, but often it does not close in a single try.
# NVH- Silent, could be more silent with damping. This is something planned.
# Gear shifting from 1 to 2nd is slightly notchy. Also the gearing for 1st vs 2nd is too large?
# Children Crossing the Road Nuisance- Need to disable.
# Air filter is useful.
# ADAS works fine.

Re: 2023 Hyundai Verna Review

I searched this thread for the keywords "Dry" and "Wet" and came across only one instance of each, both unrelated to my query which all might have guessed.

Is the DCT Dry or Wet clutch type?

The one on Verna is a dry clutch as far as I know. Wet clutch DCTs are very expensive.
